Summary:
Macon and Sarah went back home from the beach and chatting on the
car. Sarah said she want to divorce with him. Then they divorced. Macon began
recalled their memory. Sarah came back to take
something and then Macon went to England and he entrusted the dog. When he came
back and he went to pick up the dog. Then he came back to his family house. Julian
came to get the guidebook, which wrote by Macon. Macon bitted by his dog. And
everyone told him to throw his dog. But Macon said he can’t and then sent this
dog to train. After the trained Edward, the dog, can sit and stay, but can’t
lie down. One day Macon and Edward went to the train class. But the trainer, Muriel,
hurt the dog, so Macon decided not to traine the dog. Sarah called Macon said they
should talk. And Sarah told him she had been talking to a lawyer about their
separation.
Then Macon went to New York. But when he on the top of a building,
he can’t get down of the building. So he called home for help. But Charles be barked
by his dog. So he can’t help Macon. Then Macon called Sarah but she not answer.
So he called Muriel. And Muriel promised to take Edward to Meow-bow. Follow
training they talked a lot Muriel’s marriage and her child. In Thanksgiving
Day, the Learys Family were invited Julian to dinner together. Muriel invited
Macon have a dinner with her and her son. Macon handed the guidebook to Julian.
And Julian told Macon he want to proposed
to Rose on Christmas. And Macon celebrated Christmas in Muriel’s house. Macon
spent more and more time at Muriel’s house. And one day Charles told Macon his
house’s pipes were broken and told him Muriel is not his type. But Macon didn’t
listen to him. Then Rose married to Julian. Muriel wanted Macon to marry her. But
Macon said he didn’t. When Macon in Canada, he received a call from Sarah. Sarah
said she want to live in their old house. Macon agreed. And Macon also moved to
their old house. Then Macon went to Paris, and so did Muriel. And then Sarah
came either. Macon hung around with two women. But finally, Macon decided to
choose Muriel to live with.
Reflection:
I think it is a somewhat boring book. It is talk about a
normal person and his normal life. His encounter may be just like every normal
person may meet up. We see everyday life is a common, regular thing. So when we
read this book just feel some boring.
But I do not know why Macon so hesitating. He divorced
with Sarah then he went with Muriel. Then Sarah came back to him, he decided
went back to Sarah . And when they three went to Paris, he finally chose
Muriel. I do not know why he did this. This way made two women very confused
and lost confidence in his behavior.
Lose child is a very sad thing to parents and the parents may
lead out many problems and quarrel. So the communication is important to them.
If they do not communication, it may became the same thing of the couple did of
this book: quarrel, divorced and find another partner and hang around with two
women or men. Or even much worse thing than them. It
is not good for the couple and other people who around them. So communication
and calm down are really important things.
