Summary:
why Martijn Christiaans killed Max is that Max know all the process and kenw that they were doing something hameless.Afterwards, Jensen and Elly wanted to catch the person, Martijn Christiaans.Therefore they made a plan that Raul needed to visit him and found the significant evidence about this crime.But Raul and Elly both were kidnapped by Martijn Christiaans. He also caught Jensen because he wanted to earn more money.
Fortunately, they  escaped and called the police and  told the police de Vries everything with the evidence about the Amsterdam Connection.
Reflection:
The story makes me up and down because i didn't even konw what  the thing will be in the next plot and how they will find evidence.
I think Kate is a very excellent reporter because she give of herself in the work,also she is really brave even though there ara many
difficulities.l love the story,because it is not hard for me to read and also makes me really want to know the following plot.

The Amsterdam Connection(chapter3~16)

Summary: “You need a holiday, Kate.” said Max. To Kate, this is just memory. He was dead in knife wound-it seems that is true. The police of Amsterdam regard a drug addict as the murderer, but Kate can’t believe that, she can’t believe Max’s death is simple like this. She has strong trust on Max, who was her ex-boss and saved her life. After visit Jos van Essen, a retired footballer, and having a talk with Eilly, Although she undergo a lot of threaten. Finally catched the killer, pured Max’s death and ended this story. Responds: I feel amazing about Kate’s strong faith to Max. Although he saved her life, ah... I mean maybe there are something ELSE happened outside the story(ha ha). And I am also be angry about Jos van Essen’s death. What a handsome man he is !! Kate and Essen loved each other. But Essen really knew too much to cause his death. And I found that every novel about deduction has the similar pattern-one person be killed, and the principal must went kidnap, then every thing got clean. I’m a little bored about this.

The Amsterdam Connection (Chapter 11-16)

Kate tried to tell the truth to a police, but it was no evidence at that time, so the police didn’t believe her anymore. She gave up to talk to him, left his office. After that, Kate went to a football match with Jos van Essen, a retired football player. They watched a game and have a good time; he even gave Kate a poster with sign as a gift. But that night he was found dead outside his apartment. Kate found a goalkeeper named Raul Sanchez, who deliberately lose the game, because did that he can get a lot of money., the key man, the one behind the curtain is Christiaans, the murder who killed Max and Jos is he! Kate asked Kelly for help－Elly would go to get evidences with Raul Sanchez., however, they were capture by Christiaans. Christiaans pushed them to the dark room. Kate tried and tried and finally escaped out to call the police. With polices help, they find out the truth, the story has a happy ending:J

I think Kate is really a brave woman!!! If I were kidnapped by someone, I‘ll just stays there and do nothing.....I ‘m sorry to Max and Jos‘s death, they are both good guys. Although Christiaans is a murder, he‘s smart at how to cover the way how he killed Max. My mom said my view is abnormality: P 

The Amsterdam Connection (Chapter 11-16)

Summary:
After leaving de Vries’s smoky office, Kate went to the football match with Jos van Essen. They talked about Raul Sanchez, the goalkeeper of Rotterdam City Football Club. The football match was Rotterdam playing Barcelona, and Barcelona had won 2-1. They went back after the match was over; Jos van Essen gave a copy of the photograph of the Rotterdam team. Kate asked him to sign his name and write a little massage on the back. The words seemed like he had something different to Kate, but the next day he was found dead outside his apartment. Then Kate went to talk with the goalkeeper Raul Sanchez, and Raul said everything to her. So they called Elly and decided to get the evidence by recording the talk between Christiaans and Raul. But the plan was failed; Elly and Raul were caught by Christiaans. Kate was waiting for them, and then she was caught by him, too. He was the man who attacked her three days ago. Then they were locked in a cellar, Kate got out carefully and brought the police back to rescue them. Finally, Christiaans was been caught, Elly and Raul were safe. They told the police de Vries everything and the evidence about the Amsterdam Connection. Then Kate wrote down the story and sent to Balzano.

Reflection:

I think this book is very interesting and excited, because I always read it at night when everybody was asleep. So I can think of the story without other people annoyed me. I like Kate most because she is brave and smart. She can take action quickly, but sometimes put herself in danger. She was sad about Max and Jos van Essens’ death. Though she will start a new life after this, she won’t forget this and them. I’m looking forward to the next English novel which the teacher let us to read on winter vacation.

The Amsterdam Connection(chapter 7~16)

SUMMARY

After talking to Bert, who gave the information about Max’s death, Jensen wanted to visit Max’s brother, Tom Carson to talk with him. They talked about Max and then tom showed Jensen the school that he own. Tom smiled at Jensen but he looked very tired not only because his brother’s death. Back in Amsterdam, Jensen went to the main public library to do some detective work. Then she found something interested and she was confuse that who was Martijn Christiaans so she visited him later but he wasn't at home. Then she got a message from a stranger who wanted to help her. Then she was almost kidnapped by someone in front of her hotel. The next day Jensen planned to see Ronnie, Elly’s friend at Kanters asked for some information and Jensen found out that there was a big bet for match against Rotterdam. Next day, Jensen watched the match that Amsterdam against Barcelona with Jos van Essen, Amsterdam was loose but Jos thought that Amsterdam could play much better. When Jos sent Jensen home, Jensen realize that Jos was the stranger who wanted to help her because of “friend”. But Jos was killed at night just liked Max. Next, Jensen went to visit the goalkeeper, Ra’ul wanted to know what just going. Raul told her that Martijn Christiaans was a dangerous person and he was plan a evil plan so that he could get lots of money but Raul needed to lose the match. Jensen and Elly wanted to catch this person so made a plan that Raul needed to visit him and got the evidence about the crime. But Raul and Elly was captured by Martijn Christiaans and he also kidnapped Jensen because he wanted to earn money. Finally, Jensen escaped and called the police and Martijn Christiaans was captured.

REFLECTION

After reading this novel I think Jensen is so brave that she can calm down when she was kidnapped. Also, I think Elly is brave and kind too that she was willing to help Jensen to solve this crime. If I were Jensen I think I will just feel sad about Max’s death and I won’t do anything because it is too dangerous to find out the truth. But I think author could write much better because this story is too easy that I could guess the thing what will happen next.

The Amsterdam Connection (chapter9~16）

Summary:

    She met Elly's friend at Kanters. She got some very important information. Then she watched a football match with Jos. The goalkeeper was good but played like five-year-old last night. Jos gave his sign and promised to see her tomorrow, but the next never came because he was found dead outside his apartment. She met the goalkeeper and he told her everything she wanted to know. Then she came up with a plan with Elly and the Sanchez. They go to the Chrustiaans’s house. Elly and Sanchez into the house, but the case is not well. They were all caught by the criminal, Kate was, too. She then escaped outside and called the police to save them. They all are rescue. Then she told the police all things she knew about it. The case is the end

.    I have finished it. This story is mystery and nervously. When I finish it, I recall the plot again. I feel so good with the plot, because the author describe more clear that me can understand the develop. I am interesting in speculative of the novel, so this book give me another feels when I am reading. If I have a chance, I will read the book by this author.

The Amsterdam Connection (chapter 9-16)

In this paragraph, after Kate hearing the old man, Bert’s words, she then went to visit a man called Tom Carson,who is Max's brother, Tom just looked exhausted and couldn’t accept that his brother had passed away. Later, Kate went back to Amsterdam and search for some favorable information about Max's death. She then found something about Martijn Christiaans , decided to visit him. However, unfortunately, he wasn't available. What’s the worse, she nearly got kidnap but fortunately, she had escaped. After a few days, Kate got some useful information. She may have find out some clues about the murder. She talked the police, however, the police didn't believe her. At this moment, Jos was watching football game with Kate, after short talk, he promised to meet up Kate tomorrow. However, this could be a most terminal point of his life. Kate and Elly came up with a project. But all in a sudden, Kate and Elly were kidnapped by Christiaans. Yet , Kate escaped. Then she called the police right away to rescue them. Kate protected herself as possible as she could from getting hurt. As soon as the police arrived, they were saved. Kate then tell the whole things and the whole process to the police , and the criminal finally be arrested , and the story was be about to end too. After reading this whole book, I feel a sense of relieving, it always makes so nervous about who the evil guy really is and also worried about how Kate can get through these things happened or not. I think this is a great fiction, it’s not only provides me a sense of nervousness but also teach me how brave can a person be when facing something really tough and sad, and it’s my pleasure to read the entire book!

According to the realize is clear and clear, and Kate’s safe also face the big dangerous. Kate is finding seem that a big bet about the football and the case. And this information appeal to the murder. One day she concededly escapes about a kidnap under the hotel. Under the both condition that police closed and no witness. She only search the truth by the Elly and Jos. But murderer doesn’t want to miss them. After a search, Jos is dead and found on the street just like Max. This let Kate mud and amazing. She finds the Rau’l, a football game player, and gains the help about the case. Despite he is so fright about go back the poor but in order to stop the murder. He decides to tell all the truth. This is a big bet about the football race win or loses and the behind the scenes is Christiaans. To find some evidence, they plan to Christiaans’s office. And they find something about dug named LANOXIN, a heart dug and it can kill the man. But anything meets the hinder about behind the scenes. Christiaans kidnap Kate, Elly and Rau’l, and threaten their. Finally, Kate escapes the murderer success and fined the police to help. Anything is clear, and realize is public under the sky.

Reflection: This is a good story because the role’s character trait is very obvious and varies. And anything is complete so we can know why happen and who do or where. We can’t blur about settle and role. But just it, the high is too shot. Anything close is so soon that I feel losing something what. So I feel something more to say.

The Amsterdam Connection(all)

     Because of the money of Max ,he fell into difficulty of assassination.When Kate knew about the murder is Martijn Christianns,she tried to talk to the police,but they didn't believe her at all.Originally,Kate would meet Jos Van Essen,but he was found that be killed afterward.Then she figured out a plan with Elly.However,they two are abducted by someone.They struggled free of it and be rescued later.Kate told the truth to the policemen and everyone was safe.
     The novel is exciting and thrilling.I was shocked the killer is Martijn because I think the murder is a person I never believe absolutely.It makes me a little disappointed.But someday if we read novels,I still hope we can watch the stories that is associated with murder case.The Amsterdam Connection brings me something surprises and I'll recommend others to enjoy the tense atmosphere.

Summary:

Kate is a news reporter, one day her friend Max was killed and was considered just a murder for money. In order to find the truth, she started to investigation. In the course she found this case didn’t a normal case. It had a big scheme in it. The criminal, Christiaans, who wanted to use the football bet to earn plenty money. So he instigated football play to let the contest loos., but the owner of the football club not agree, so that he, Kate’s friend Max, was killed and also involved the retired footballer, Jos van Essen, who was Kate’ friend, too. Then to found the evidence she went through dangerous with her friend and aggrieved person, Raul Sanchez, in the end the criminal was arrested, everything went in peace.    

Reflection:

The story is very exciting, especially the plot Kate and her friend are captivity, then she escapes from the small window, this plot describes very vividly and I feel my mood go up and down with her, include her nervous mood, brave action, and clever mind. Although it is sad there are two people death, but just like Kate said there is still something doesn't change, alive people still need to lead the life, so we don’t live in sorrowful, think more optimistic!      

The Amsterdam Connection (Ch11-16)

Summary

After watching a match, Kate thought Rotterdam goalkeeper Sanchez was a key to the murder. Because Jos van Essen and she had known too much,Jos died at this night. With angry and sad, Kate  paid a visit to Sanchez and found out the truth. She planned to make Sanchez get the evidence with Elly. Unfortunately, they were all put under house arrest. Kate used anyway to go out and called several policemen. Fortunately, Elly and Sanchez were safe and policemen caught the murderer Christiaans.

Reflection

Frankly speaking, This book is not as interesting as I thought, but it make me a little bit exciting when they were kidnapped. All I’d like to learn from the writer is the skill of describing. Especially, the writer described the character Kate used all the way she could use to go out for help.

And I’ m so angry at the writer. Because she killed Jos van Essen!!! And Jos and Kate liked each other but Kate didn’t understand. When she realized she liked him, Jos had passed away. Human beings always have regrets about something you haven’t talked to somebody or told some love and apology words. Life is short. Never be late without telling some words from the bottom of your mind.

Summary

Kate went to Rotterdam to visit Tom Carson ,who is Max's brother,at his office because of Bert's words .Then Tom took Kate to his own school.Tom looked exhausted,and unbelieved in his brother's death.Afterword,Kate went back to Amsterdam and looked for some avaliable information about Max's death.Somethings about Martijn Christiaans were found by Kate.So Kate went to visit him.Unfortunately,he wasn't at home.But Kate relieved a messeage from a unfamiliar guy.Someone wanted to kidnap Kate as a hostage.Yet,Kate escaped.Kate got some useful information in few days.She maybe learn some clues.She dared to talk the police,but the police didn't convince of her.Jos,Kate watched football game with,gave his sign and promising to meet Kate  tomorrow.But,this was a  terminal point of his life.Kate and Elly figured out a project.Suddenly,by Christiaans Kate and Elly were kidnapped.Fortunately,Kate escaped.Then she called the police to rescue them.Kate did her best to protect herself from getting hurt.Beforn long,the police catched up and they were saved. Kate talked all things she learned and investgated.The murderer was arrested.The splendid story came to an end.

Reflection

This is a very wonderful fiction,I have not fully expressed myself.the climax made the stimulated and nermous atmosphere,let reader wonder the following progress.Especially,when Kate was kidnapped,I concerned about her,Kate was brave.She faced this dangerous situation calmly,patiently as if a detective investages cases,Kate is blessed with clear thought ,calm attitude,brave deed.Let reader whisper her.The murderer is sly and  guilty of the most heinous crimes.There is justice in this world.Kate was rescued finally.This made us be happy.Her brave deed teaches us that don't be afraid of something,or you will get failure.Keep a brave heart.Face difficulties bravely.You are a hero.Keep going.

The Amsterdam Connection (chapter 11-end)

Summary:

    Kate met Jos this time. Jos introduced his business to Kate. Carson built a school for those children who were poor or interested in playing baseball. Then Kate and Jos went to watch the baseball game. The match was Amsterdam versus Barcelona. Barcelona had won 2-1. Later Kate went to chat with Raul Sanchez. Sanchez did not want to talk about in the beginning. But Kate continually pushed him. Waiting for a long time, Sanchez decided to speak it out. He offered lots of money to ask to lose matches. And the person who asked him to do those things was Martijn Christiaans. After getting good hints, Elly and Sanchez were willing to help catch Christiaans. They needed more evidences. Sanchez went to Christiaans’ house to try to record something useful. Unfortunately, Christiaans caught both of them and locked them. To save them, Kate was asked to follow Chtistiaans. Later Kate was locked too. Luckily, Kate escaped from a small window by using some boxes and found police to help. In the end of the story, the murder was caught. Elly and Sanchez was safe.         

 

Reflection:
     It is a good story. Kate insisted hard and he finally found the killer. The process was dangerous. If I have a friend just like Kate, I must feel very grateful, even though I do not want my friend to be in such a hard condition. When Kate was caught, that was a climax . Wheather he would be killed or not. I always believe Kate could overcome it. Not for special reasons, just because he was the main character. I have not seen a novel which the main character would die before the end of the story. Christiaans was a smart guy. No wonder he used this way to make money. And he used the medicine to kill Max, pretending it was a simple murder. Whatever, Kate found the killer. The ending was half happiness and half sadness. It was positive because Elly and Sanchez was fine. And Sanchez wanted to help Kate. It was negative because Max and Jos dead.

The Amsterdam Connection(All)

Summary:

Martijn killed Max after Max knew the big benefit relation behind the whole thing
and also wanted to tell the police officer what Martijn did. Footballer,who has retired, also was killed by Martijn.In the end,process all kinds of difficulty, Martijn, the real murderer ,was arrested.


Reflection:

At last,the whole thing has a satisfactory close. People often live in regularity without trying and brave.I think we should be brave once in our lives,no matter who is for the purpose either ourselves or other people,though we may have been laughed or hated, even was blamed.

The Amsterdam Connection (Chapter8-The end)

Summary:

Chapter 8 is a climax in the whole story. It’s the start that Kate has some clues during surveys Max’s death behind the curtain. It’s the start that Kate finds someone called Martijn Christiaans, too. Kate’s ‘’freind’’ Jos van Essen gives her another clue to find out the connection of the money that was bet on Leiden to win the match against Rotterdam. Another friend of Kate, Elly , tells Kate to visit a guy called Ronnie in the office here in Amsterdam, he may able to help her. One night, a tall dark-haired man with clear blue eyes attacks Kate, try to tack her away. Unfortunately he encounters a woman who had been learned karate for years, so he fails and runs back.

In chapter 10, policeman de Vries remind Kate to get some evidences, so she visits Sanchez the goalkeeper at Rotterdam City Football Club. After a choose between telling her some contents about the bet or not to tell and lose everything, Sanchez tells her the important massage about what Christiaans requested to him. There’s finally has something clear! Then Kate phones Elly to come over and meets Sanchez. After understanding about the Max’ death behind the curtain, they then arranges a plan to gain some evidences from Christiaans.

After waiting for a long time, there’s finally a knock at Kate’s door, she opens the door excited. It’s not Elly and Sanchez but Christiaans! He threatens Kate with a gun and kidnaps her. Elly and Sanchez aren’t been killed because Christiaans needs Sanchez to lose the match in order to gain the money he betted on, and Elly is his hostage.

Kate wakes up with headache and finds herself in a house. There, in the corner, is Elly, wearing handcuffs and with something over her mouth so that she can’t speak. Kate tries to escape from the house, and she really does it! Then she just keeps on running in the rains to the police station, and tells the police what happened. The policemen get on the car to rescue Elly and arrest Christiaans.

The event is finally over. Though, Max and Jos were dead and nothing would bring them back.

Reflection:

     It’s happy that the event is finally over. But it’s sad about another person’ death. This story tells us that a person would do anything to gain money. It’s very evil and dangerous, I’m really appreciate with Kate because she did everything to find out the truth of Max’s death. That’s what a real friend would do for you! The story is a contrast of goodness and broken-hearted. The writer used very simple words to write a story and lead our imagination into the plot. Reading this book is not only learning a story but also studying how to write an article. This book shows me lots of things, not just how to complete a work in easy method, but human nature is!

Kate and Jos van Essen went to watch the football game. After the football game, Jos van Essen gave Kate a photo and signed his name on it. Next day, Kate heard the bad news, Jos was dead outside at his apartment. She was very angry, because two of his friends were dead. Kate then visited the goalkeeper, Sanchez, who lost the game so that he can get a lot of money from criminal. When Kate went to hotel, she was caught by the killer, Christiaans. Finally, she was escaped and found the police to catch the killer.

Reflection:

This book was so excited! At first, I think the killer was Jos, but is not. The real killer was Christiaans, he is such a really bad guy, in order to get money so he killed two persons. And I think Kate is brave because she caught the killer and saved all people.

And Kate thought this case was related with her. So Kate started to find out the truth. Kate met Jos van Essen in his apartment. Kate asked Jos about the club and then they talked about Max. Kate had a feeling Jos knew more than he would say. Kate left his number to Bert who knew a lot of things about the city. Elly met Kate and told him that the police had found the killer. Kate didn’t believe Elly, so he made an appointment with Max’s brother Tom. Kate got some news about the club. After the meeting Kate was in danger. Someone wanted to kill her. But she escaped. She went to a football match with Jos because she wanted to realize more about the football. After a few days, Kate met the goalkeeper Sanchez. She found out that Christiaans was the key of the case. Later Elly and Sanchez was caught by Christiaans, and so was Kate. Kate found a small window then she escaped from it. She ran to the police station for help. Finally, they caught Christiaans. And the case was over.

Reflection:
     I have been read some books which written by Sue Leather. Most of her books are about murder mystery. In her books, every character is as vivid as life. You can image the characters truly by reading her stories. I like this writer. You not only read the book but also used your brain to think about the case. You won’t feel bored when you read her books. When I was reading this book, I would be careful in every part of the story. It might be the key point of this murder. I felt more excited as I read more chapters. It felt like I am also a character in the story. And my heart went up and down. You can’t refuse to read this book! If you read this book, you can’t stop it.

Reflection:
     I finally finished this book.The ending is happy but sad,too.Kate is brave to overcome all the diffculties.
She is also kind of investigating her friend's death,because Max had saved her life before.She doesn't forget it,and she won't,either.The whole book is exciting and interesting to read.It's such a great book.I hope whether we can read another book like this in the future.I'm very glad to read this novel.

The Amsterdam Connection (Chapter13~16, Whole)

Summary: (Chapter13~16)

At first, they went Christiaans’s home if nothing had happened chat, but in fact they want from his conversation sets out some words and secretly recording. Unfortunately there is no harvest for them. And then he discovered the secret of pills, and get Ronnie's print-out of the information.

The most frightening thing is that he was threatened by last time man kidnapped in the hotels but this time have gun. And they also kidnap their friends ask he tell where is print-out？It is inconceivable that he did not kill them but sent to a cellar.

Although he was wounded, he is still seeking ways to escape.

Fortunately, he found a tiny windows and unstable chairs successfully escaped out.

Then he seeks the police assistance to help solve the case successfully saved his partner and arrested Christiaans.

In the end, Carson decided to make good operating club. Kate finally walked the streets in Amsterdam is safe. And he found something interesting. Max had saved his life and fought for him when he needed it. And he had to fight for him when he could not fight for himself.

Finally, he decided to write this interesting story.

Reflection: (Whole)

When I read the entire novel, I have a kind of happy feeling. Because this is the first time I read the whole novel is very serious, especially in English.

But there are a lot person names and place name when I reading this book, at first I very confusing for this, there is a feeling difficult to continue reading.

But I read the more I want to know who really is the murderer and for what purpose kill unrelated people, but read half of story was really a bit angry, actually a little interest to betray a friend hurt people .Even read Chapter14, I am little nervous because I do not know if he were killed by the bad guys. Eventually I really happy ending is good, bad gun was finally arrested. The good news is Amsterdam restore the previous tranquility and peace.

Reading this book feels completely to go with mood of the book

The Amsterdam Connection Chapter10-16

Summary:

          Kate was happy that Jos gave her a picture with his signature and hoped to see him tomorrow to discuss more detail about Raul who is the goalkeeper in the Rotterdam. Unfortunately, Jos was murdered outside his apartment. Kate was astonished and felt badly when she knew the news, but she realized that she was going to find out the murderer.

 

Reflection:

          This is my favorite part of this story. Christiaans is a cold blood guy. He will do everything to accomplish his plan even though killing people or threating. Kate was a brave woman. She was not afraid of Christiaans and did all she could do to put he to the prison.After reading this novel, I am sure that I really enjoy mysterious fiction.

And they plan to get some evidence by Rau’l talked to Christaans. They found Max’s pills, Lanoxin, a powerful heart drug which can kill you if you take too much of it .Unfortunately. They all kidnap from Christiaans. Kate escape. And was help by policemen .Finally they all alive, and went to place office try to understand why Tom Carson allowed Christiaans to buy up his club. The story end up by him wrote a story and would back to his work. 心得: The story is very excited. I can’t believed the story would be come up an end by two people died .And I feel very sadly that Kate’s important friends were gone. The story also showed the meaning of friendship .Although the truth was terrible, but at least find out the truth about Max’s died.

The Amsterdam Connection (Chapter 11-16)

Summary:

After Kate and Jos went to watch a football match,Jos gave Kate the copy of Rotterdam team,and Kate required Jos to sign on the backside,Jos expressed he had some feelings of Kate in his word of the sign,and Kate also knew about it.The next day,Kate wanted to refuse him,but she found him was dead outside his house.As she got the infromation about Jos’s dead,she became very angry,because two of her friends were been killed.An then,she visited Raul Sanchez, a footballer who got Criminals’ money to lose matches and wanted to stop it.She hoped that Raul could help her to catch the killer,Kate wanted Raul to talk to the criminal they doubt at,and get some informations and evidences from the recorder.Unfortunately,they not only didn’t get the informations from the guy,but also got caught by him.Kate was in the hotel to wait for them,and she got more and more worried,because they didn’t come back.After a while, the hotel’s doorbell rang,Kate jumped up from her bed and open the door without thinking,the strong man who attack Kate that night, push her into his car again,and he took Kate to a dark room where Elly was in there.Finally,Kate got out of the room from the top window,and she ran to the police for help.Then, Christiaans was caught by the police.The big event was end,Kate wrote down the story and sent it to Dave to have holidays.

Reflection:

How exciting this book is! The whole book is full of climax,Kate is very smart and brave,she can save her friends no matter how dangerous the condition would be.The plot which shocked me the most is when Kate wanted to refuse Jos’s love then found that he died outside of his apartment.I think this story make me know how important the good friends are,and It also make me know how precious time is, people cannot know when will they die,so many things need to finish it immediately or you will be regret of what you haven’t finish yet.

The Amsterdam Connection (Chapter 11-16)

Summary:

Jos and Kate went to watch a football game. When went back to the hotel Jos gave her a photograph. Not so long, Jos was found dead outside his apartment. Kate then to visit the goalkeeper, Sanchez, who deliberately lose the game, because did that he can get a lot of money. Kate then found Elly to get some help. When Kate went back to hotel she was be kidnapped by Christiaans, who is the killer killed two men. Elly and Sanchez also be kidnapped by him. Kate and Elly were locked, Kate finally escaped from the room to found the policemen and to save Elly and Sanchez. Finally, the killer was caught and all of them are safe.

Reflection:

I think the Christiaans is really a bad guy. In order to gain money, he actually killed two people and kidnapped three people. He assumed he go aboard and will not be caught. He was so foolish and be found by a reporter, he may be very angry about it.

Ha Ha. I am admire Jane because she was so brave to find the killer and to save Elly and Christiaans.

I think it is a good book. It is not hard for me to read and also let me know how strong relationship they have. Especially Kate, although she know she may in danger, she still to find the killer regardless of herself safety and saved everyone. If I were her I don’t know I will find the killer or let the police to find the wrong killer and believe the police’s investigate. 

The Amsterdam Connection(All)

Summary:
Raul told Martijn ask someone to lose games.So Jos retired from his favorite game.Max knew this situation and try to stop.So Max was killed by Martijn.Finally Kate  manage to find the murderer and she unearths an evil plot concerning a prominent Football Club in Amsterdam and a huge financial scam attached to it.Finally Martijn was arrested.Some things never changed.

Reflection:
After reading this book,I found I am very timid.Because no matter what the difficult things happened the heroine was brave to face.I hope I can  become like her.Plenty of money often fetches out a person's worst qualities.Of course the story finally should have a good ending.Bad guy finally be punished.

The Amsterdam Connection (Ch11~16,Whole)

Summary:

 Kate asked Jos van Essen for the information about his team. Then, they go to watch a football game. Both of them were happy. When they had to leave, Jos van Essen gave Kate a photo and Kate asked for his sign and hope that he could gave some reliable evidence, but it turned out that Jos van Essen gave her a confession. Kate wasn’t angry, but the next day he was founded died in front of his apartment. After that, Kate went to Elly and Raul to get some help—they wanted to collect some evidence from the suspect Chistiaans. Unfortunately, they had been caught by Chistiaans and was locked in cellar. Kate wisely escaped from cellar and got the police’s help. Finally, the criminal was handcuffed and the danger disappeared. Last, Kate knew the origin and development of the Amsterdam Connection and she went back to her reporter’s life and have a vacation.

Reflection:

 I think this is a climax of the whole story. First I considered that Kate would solve the case perfectly and peacefully-she knows Karate and she’s smart-it never occurred to me that the criminal was so strong and awful that Kate could not against him. When I know the crime was caused of profit and betting, I were not very surprised- I have guess that before. One of the pros of the story is the writer described very detailed and depict the character lively. I think the most pity of this story is- it already tell us the identify of all the characters in the front page-did the editor forget that this book is a detective story?
