Summary: Macon Leary, a man writes guidebook for people. Paradoxically, he doesn’t like this job very much. Because of their son’s dead, his wife decide to divorce with him. After this quarrel, he went back to his old house and lives with his young sister, Rose. But he was worry about his dog, Edward, which becomes much aggressive; there was no animal hospital willing to take care of it. At Meow-Bow hospital, Macon met Muriel, a trainer who believes Edward was still kind and wouldn’t bite people. They went closer and closer, but when Macon gets a call from his ex-wife, he decides trying to fix their relationship, and Muriel was upset. After a lot of choice, finally, he decided to live with Muriel. Reflection: I think people who do the job are not only caring about if he/she like, they maybe because of other reason. And I feel this story express the hesitation and paradoxical in big city. This story is a little depressed and boring. Make a decision may spend time, but must be important.

     Marcon and Sarah are husband and wife.One day,when they are in the way back home from the beach.Sarah decided to divorce with Marcon. Because she thought that Marcon didn't comfort her from their son's dead.After that, Marcon went on a tourist to England because of his job which to write a guidebook to tell people what to pack,what to wear,which hotels to stay in, and so on.Although he doesn't like to travel at all. Before his trip to England ,he boarded his dog Edward at the MEOW-Bow Animal Hospital.There he met Muriel Pritchett,a young woman with "aggressively frizzy" hair.After he came back from England ,he go and pick up Edward from MEOW-Bow Animal Hospital.Edward became strange and even started to attack people,so Marcon called Muriel who could train dog.Muriel also taught him how to train Edward.And they became closer and closer. They started to know each other,and lived together with Muriel's son ,Alexander.And Muriel decided to marry with Marcon. But Marcon refused her.After attending his sister Rose and Julian's wedding,Marcon went to Canada. Marcon received a call from Sarah.Sarah said that she wanted to move back to their house. Marcon agreed.So they lived together again.Later, Marcon went to Paris for writing his guidebook and he met Muriel there.After a thinking about his marriage, finally, Marcon decided to live with Muriel.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Reflection:

I think it is boring than the other books I used to read before.I am confused about what is Marcon's doing.I don't even know who does he really love? who does he want to live with?I think he is a serious and terrible person.I really don't like his personalities.If I were Marcon , I would not change my mind again and again , because it would hurt the people who really love you. And I think Muriel is an interesting person.She is very active. I like her brave activity. She can really know what she really wants.

Macon Leary, who wrote the guidebooks for people forced to travel on business. He just lost his son Ethan for a few years. His wife, Sarah Leary can’t bare him, because their son’s dead didn’t seem to him. Macon just went on his same old way like before. So Sarah decided to separate and then divorce with him. After they separated, they missed each other. Macon needed to do all things by himself, and he moved to live with his own family after he broke his leg. Before that, Macon met a dog trainer, Muriel Pritchett to take care of his dog Edward when he went on a trip for work. Macon didn’t accept her at the beginning, but Muriel chat with him when they trained Edward. Then they lived together with Muriel’s son Alexander. After that, Macon’s boss Julian Edge proposed to Macon’s sister Rose Leary, and they married soon. One day Macon got a phone call from his wife Sarah, she needed to move back into their home for a little while. He said yes to her and left Muriel, moved back into their home. Macon went on his trip to Paris few weeks later. He found Muriel was on the flight, too. Macon kept her away from him because he don’t want Sarah misunderstand him. But his back ached, Rose called Sarah to finish his work in Paris and took care of him. At the end, Macon left Sarah.

Reflection:

This is a love story. At the beginning, I thought it was bored. But after I read few chapters, I changed my mind. It is a story that you need to feel the emotions when Macon did everything. Then you can realize why he stayed with Muriel and go back to Sarah later. I think Macon just needed to find a place and a person which can warm his heart. He can’t walk through his son’s dead, so he went on his old way to pretend himself was fine, until Muriel came into his life. But he miss Sarah, he can’t find what wrong is it. So he went back to live with her, then he found he was wrong. At the end, he thought all night and decided to leave. After all, he needs to choose one way to go. I like the story and I took my time to finish it. But I don’t like the way that Macon deals with the problem between them. That hurt two women’ hearts perhaps hurt him either. I like the way that the author describes the story. The words are soft and warm, that everything feels nice under the author’s pen.

After losing a son，Macon Leary，who is a writer of travel guides continually leaded a dejected life and didn’t know what to do.Because of misery in his wife’s heart，then advised to divorce each other.Aferwards，Macon met a person with odd personality and talkative habit，the female help Macon figure his original life out.While the womam appeared，his wife thought that their marriage could be retrieved as a sudden.Meanwhile，Macon faced a plenty of choice that never met.In the end，Macon went to Paris to edit his guidebooks.Consequently，he bumped into Muriel there.Althought Muriel still love Macon，he didn’t accept.Oneday，Macon was sick and Sarah looked after him for several days.Unfortunately，Macon resolve that he will get along with Muriel eventually.
Reflection:
After I read this book，the most impress part to me is Macon's sence.He could observe something he doesn't have and lacked of anything necessary ever，and do his best to try to find the answer to the question.I think everyone isn't necessarily to find a new way and change oneself，but make sure to look for what you ever missed.Actually，I prefer to read novels about thrill or terrible，so the story for me to watch is a little bit painful.I hope oneday，I can really put into a book that I truly love.

Summary:Macon  Leary writes guidebooks which are shown to people who travel a lot but he didn’t like to travel. One day Macon and his wife Sarah go to travel. They encountered a heavy rain storm. Hence, they decided to stay in car. And then Macon had a quarrel with his wife. Sarah couldn’t live with Macon anymore so she divorced from Macon to end the seventeen-year marriage. Afterward, he went on another tour for work   but he needed to find a place where have people to take care of his dog, Edward. Macon finally found a hospital called Meow-Bow animal hospital. He met Muriel Pritchett who also had an experience of divorce so Muriel Pritchett promised to take care of his dog. After that, he decided to move back to his house.One day, Macon's boss-Julian fall in love with Rose who is Macon’s sister and they got married. When Edward getting worse and worse, Muriel Pritchett helped Macon train his dog. Then Macon decided to move to live with Muriel Pritchett. Muriel also introduced her son, Alexander, to Macon, Macon teaches him everything and they soon become good friends. At that time, Muriel Pritchett proposes the idea of ​​marriage but Macon reject it. In the Julian and Rose’s wedding ceremony, Macon met Sarah again and they decided to move together again and start the life they used to have. Muriel Pritchett feels upset. Macon then flew to Paris for work, discovering Muriel was following him secretly. In Paris, Macon was sick. Then Rose called Sarah to look after him. Muriel was there as well. In the end, Macon chose Muriel to live with.
Reflection:After reading this book, I think Macon is a bed guy. He hesitated between two women. He never wonder how Muriel or Sarah feeling. I don’t understand when Macon met Sarah again he didn’t refuse her to live together again. I think behavior of Macon like a teenager. He just follows his heart instead of deal with deep problem. Moreover, Macon is so indecisive. When he face different woman, he would change his mind. It is represent he never determined to stop a relationship. If I were Sarah I would not agree with Macon move together again. Because I had endured him in the past, I don’t believe he can change. Moreover, he has had a girlfriend. I can’t accept to share my boyfriend to other woman. Maybe I not only agree with him but also scold at him for abandon Muriel Pritchett. However, most angry thing for me is he finally gets married with Muriel Pritchett while I pay out my love. He is like a hooker that some people want to live with him together and he just assent them. I do not appreciate Macon who has the acting style. While I think the story is simple, the writer describes in detail.If I can write thoroughly, my composition must be praise. The story is boring but it has something to learn.

The story beings in a rainy day, a couple quarreled in the car, the driver who’s the main character and job is a guidebook writer, named Macon, his wife Sarah since their son Ethan died she felt Macon was a cold and an unfeeling person. She can’t bear him anymore, so she wanted to divorce him. After that Macon spent a lot of time adapting the life without Sarah, but he still felt only, then he decided to move back his old house where his unmarried young sister Rose and tow divorced brothers, Charles and Porter lived. Although Macon felt sad, he still need to work, however he worried about his dog Edward, because it had bitten people many time, and no animal hospital can shelter it. Fortunately, when Macon went to Meow- Bow animal hospital, he met Muriel, who’s a dog trainer and also divorce, she said she can take of Edward and train it. From then on Macon went to Muriel’s house mover and mover often and in the end even lived with her and her son, Macon taught her son Alexander many thing just like really father, and he also had a new, grate life during this time, however Macon’s family didn’t happy about that. One days Macon’s boss Julian went to see Macon to discuss his new guidebook and at the same time he looked Rose and fell in love with her. Their relationship developed quickly, and soon they married, in their wedding Macon saw his ex-wife, Sarah accidentally, after that Sarah took a phone call to Macon and told she want to live with him again, then Macon agree. But when Muriel knew that she was very sad because she love Macon, and even want to married him. Although Muriel was heart-broken, she still didn’t give up. The fate time was in the Paris where Macon went to work, and he was sick. Sarah went to take care of him and Muriel was in there, too. In the end Macon chose Muriel and lived with her.  

Reflection:

I think Macon is an irresolute man and not good at expressing. The first, if he can talk to her wife, Sarah, what his really feeling about their son died, instead of using slipshod and just like careless attitude to face the problem. Second, because his hesitate, he hurt Muriel’s heart and Sarah, too. Besides I also think Sarah is not a good woman, because she just want to Macon know her and show more consideration for her son died, but she never really comprehend Macon anymore, what’s more when she felt regretful she even want to live with him again! On the other hand before I finish the book only one think in my mind that I just want to tell Macon “throw them away and to live the new life by yourself, you don’t need to get married with any woman again just like your brother.” Because the relationship between the two women is too tired to manage, if I am Macon I will do that. In the end I thing Macon choose Muriel that is a great choice although sometime she is irritability and emotional, I still consider she is better than Sarah, nice job Macon.

Macon Leary, a man who writes guidebooks for people .He divorce with his wife Sarah not long ago. She argued with many meaningless things with Macon after their son’s death, she thought Macon didn’t care at all. Macon and his son’s crazy dog, Edward, went back to live with his brother and sister after separated with Sarah.

The dog bark and bite people with no reason, but also because of this, Macon know Muriel, an animals trainer, she interested with Edward and said she could train it. At first Macon refused her, but he found he can’t control the dog any more, he finally said yes.

During the train class, they became friend and their relationship also became closer and closer. Macon went to Muriel’s house several times and finally moved to live with her. Although Macon’s family doesn’t like Muriel, Macon does not care about it. However, he found he still love Sarah so he decided to live with Sarah again.

Macon went to Paris since his job, didn’t know Muriel followed him secretly, and Sarah also went there to take care of him when Macon’s back hurt. Macon was happy to see Sarah, but he finally decided to choose Muriel.

Reflection:

     I think this is really a boring book!!!! A man, his crazy dog and his romantic, how can a writer wrote such a bored story? Macon is really a bad guy, indecision and hurt two women who love him, and I wonder why he choose a work he doesn’t like it? I hope I won’t like him, do the work I love it.

Macon Leary, a writer who wrote guidebooks for business people, he travel to many places and wrote lots of book although he does not love travel at all. One day, he and his wife-Sarsh, went to a beach, on their way home they had a fierce argue, Sarsh said Macon wasn’t sad about their dead son-Ethan. After the argue, they divorce.

After they separate,Macon live with his sister and bothers, since living with them,his dog-Edward keep making troubles,so Macon went to an animal hospital and met Muriel Pritchett,their relationship became better and better because Edward kept bitting people and they started to train Edward.After thanksgiving, Macon’s boss Julian Edge get married with his sister-Rose,they didn’t live together but Macon and Muriel ,They became better and better that they live together ,Macon take care of her sickness son-Alexander, Muriel even invitehim to her mom,and might get married,but Macon still love his ex-wife,then Sarahcame to Macon saying that she cant live without him and is too late to change. So Macon left Muriel and start living with like before. At a trip to Paris, Muriel came with Macon, now he don’t know what he really want, because of his back hurt, Sarah came to Paris to take care of him, things seem to have an end but after thinking this for a night Macon left Sarah and get together with Muriel.

Reflection:

I think it was the most boring book I have even read, after I finish this book, the only thing I in my mind was: finally! It is such a tragedy! Every thing in this book didn’t attract me at all! Maybe I just can’t figure out what is the interesting thing was.

Although I don’t like it but it is a good book inside the book, every role has its characteristic and let the story not so boring.

Macon  is indecisive ,In the end ,he didn't choose Muriel or Sarah ,beacuse he doesn't know what what he want .
Reflection
I think how bad the man is .Why he do that ?Let two women heart broken . I also think is so boring. Beacuse   it's normal for everybody,we need to choose for our life .But I think Macon don't be responsible for his choose .One day ,He will repaid for his responsible.So,do the book tell us need to respect for our choose?

After Macon’s son Ethan died, Macon got odder and sadness of death of Ethan was always in his mind. His wife Sarah couldn’t stand such him, got divorced with him and moved out. Meanwhile, he had to go on his work, writing guide book. He sent his dog to Muriel, the dog trainer. Slowly, Macon stepped in her life, moved in her house, knew her son and families. Macon’s brothers and sister didn’t like her, however. After his sister’s wedding, Sarah wanted to live with him. He did ,but, finally, he chose Muriel.

Reflection

I think Macon and Muriel are suitable for each other. Muriel is talkative and friendly, but Macon is quiet and odd. They had ever gotten hurt. Muriel was active and optimistic to face the difficulty in life. I sympathized Macon a little, because he couldn’t jump out the deep, cold hole called the depth of Ethan, he couldn’t forget his son and lead a grand-new life. Muriel changed his life and opened a new leaf, however. I consider Edward to be a matchmaker which connected Macon with Muriel.

There is a one sentence I kept thinking about ─ Maybe, he thought, who you are when you’re with somebody matters more than whether you love her. This is the change of Macon’s thought. It takes time for me to think its meaning. I feel it’s meaningful.

     This book start on aracter Macon with her wife Sarah breaking up their relationship. Divorce, concern Macon's life. The things all change. Thus, he wants to take a trip on England. Before this time he wrote the guidebooks for people forced to travel on business at home. But now, he go out to the trip, Macon starts his tourist.

     But his dog Edward needed to be taken care of, but his dog had been bitten people, so no animal hospital wanted it. He then went to another animal hospital. When Macon brings his dog to hospital. He meets a male dog trainer named Muriel.

They fall in love with each other. One day, he goes to her house. He found she has married and has a son. But his husband was dead. This time, Macon wants to go back with her wife. But the end isn’t.

       This book surround with Macon, Sarah and Muriel relation. Their relation let me confuse. Because he couldn’t choose his love, then hurt Sarah’s and Muriel’s heart. Final he didn’t choose one of them. This behavior makes me confuse. So I don’t like this book plot.

In the quarrel, they refer their son, Ethan, who was died by a murder. Because of this and Macon didn’t seem to be care about it, Sarah decided to divorce with Macon. After divorce, Macon had a work that needs to go to England for a short time, so he needed to find a place in which have people can take care of his dog, Edward. First, he sent Edward to the Veterinary Hospital just like before, but the hospital didn't want to accept it this time, because they say it had bit people last time. So Macon found another animal hospital called Meow-Bow. Its attendant, Muriel, who agreed to take care Edward for a few days, so they promised to meet each other again when Macon come back to pick it up. Because of this chance, Macon and Muriel knew each other, and gradually understood they have similar backgrounds. After Macon went back home, Edward started to bite any people, including Macon. Everyone told him to throw the dog away, but Macon insisted to send Edward to train. Trainer happens to be Muriel, after that, Macon moved to live with Muriel and his son Alexander. Not for a long time, Macon and Alexander became good friends. Muriel thank that living with Macon is right and she wants marry with him, but Macon refused her. After attended Julian and Rose’s wedding, Macon went to Canada. While he was in there, he received a call from Sarah, she said that she wants to move back to their old house, Macon agreed, so they lived together again.  Later, Macon went to Paris for job but he did not know that Muriel was following him. On one day morning, Macon got sick, so Sarah came and took care of him. Macon was so happy that Sarah came for him, and he even felt he could forget Muriel. But in the end, Macon still chooses Muriel to live together.

Reflection:

         I think this novel is really very boring compared with before. The story only about one man and two women, but I still can’t understand what Macon wants. He has been divorced with Sarah, then met another woman, Muriel, who was very kind to him. But why he didn’t marry with Muriel? He and Michael's relationship was also very good, why he didn’t accept them in the start? Why he wants to live with Sarah again, but chooses Muriel at the end? Why he wants to broke Muriel’s heart before lives with her? And I also can’t understand why this story named for The Accidental Tourist. To sum up, I can’t understand what this book wants to tell us. But we still can wonder that if we are Macon, what will we do, and how will we choose. For me, I will choose Muriel in the beginning, and have a happy new life at the first time.

After divorcing, he went on another tourist to work with his dog, Edward. However, Macon can’t work with Edward. Edward has to be care of. So, he searched many animal hospitals. Unfortunately, no one wanted to take care of Edward because it had bitten many people. Soon, he met Muriel who is a vet was glad to help Macon look after Edward. After that, he decided to move back to live with his old house where his unmarried sister Rose and two divorced brothers Charles and Porter. One day, Macon’s boss, Julian, went there to make sure the schedule of the tourist book was all right. Julian seemed to fall in love with Rose, they started dating and finally decided to marry. Several days passed, Muriel though she loves Macon and want to marry him, but Macon confused her. When they go to Rose and Julian’s wedding, Macon sees Sarah again. Sarah still love Macon, and they live with each other again. But, they fight again. Macon flew to Paris for work but he didn't know Muriel went with him. At Paris, he finally realized that Muriel is the true love he wants.

Reflection:

In the story, I really don’t like Macon. He is so uncertain for his future. Well, he hates traveling but writing guidebooks. How ridiculous he is! I can’t understand why Macon and Sarah be together and break up again. It is so meaningless. Last, I like Sarah very much. She is so kind that she is willing to help Macon take care of his dog.

Macon Leary, a writer of travel guides whose son has been killed in a shooting at a fast-food restaurant. Macon Leary and his wife Sarah lost in grief, find their marriage disintegrating until she eventually moves out. After the death of Macon’s son and the departure of his wife, Macon, at first, thought he could have everything as a routine as usual, traveling around foreign countries and cities to write articles for the guidebooks, managing the housework seemed to save much electricity, more organized and more convenient and efficient, but he could have never get rid of that who should had taken the responsibility for the death of Ethan. Macon met Muriel Pritchett, an open and clear young woman with a sickly son, to train his crazy dog, and she soothed his pain, gave him the courage to live again. When his wife Sarah becomes aware of the situation, she decides they should reconcile. Macon struggled to the depth of his heart for what to decide in the most of the night time when Sarah and he spent the last night in a Paris hotel after both Muriel and Sarah asked him to stay with and live together.
Reflection:
This book is about human interest. Maybe it gave me a new thought that family members listen and respect to one another while miserable things happen and keep encouraging one another then find a way out calmly and peacefully, and continue a new life. I probably do not like this book. It is so boring that even I wanted to give up. Everything went in a strange way so I can’t understand the content. Human interest’s book is very hard for me to read. I think couples need to inclusive each other. When something terrible was happened, they need to help each other and survive the difficult. If I am Macon, I will try to correct the bad habit that Sarah doesn’t like. He is too old-fashion. His wife wanted to separate was his entire fault. He didn’t understand his wife’s mood. He just insisted on his opinion. The Accidental Tourist also has a movie. Lots of people said that the movie is more interesting than the book. Maybe I should try to watch the movie if it could change my reflection about The Accidental Tourist.

The trainer is the Meow-Bow’s attendant, Muriel. Muriel always talked about her marriage with Macon when she is training Edward. On Thanksgiving, Macon sent the guidebook to Julian, and Julian told him that he want to marry Rose on Christmas. Macon celebrated Christmas at Muriel’s house, and taught Alexander, Muriel’s son, many things. Then Rose and Julian got married soon, Muriel wanted Macon to married her, but Macon didn’t want to. Macon went to Canada, while he was in there, he received a call from Sarah. Sarah said that she wants to move back to their old house, Macon agreed. So he lived with her again, when Muriel knew it, she was very sad. Later, Macon went to Paris for his guidebook, however, he met Muriel there, Muriel still love him, but Macon didn’t love her, so he always kept himself from her. On one day morning, Macon got sick. Sarah came and took care of him. But, finally, Macon still choose Muriel to live together.

Reflection:

I think that this book is quite boring, only a story about one man and two women, I remember that the story begin with Macon and Sarah are having quarrel in the car, and just because their son’s dead. And I can’t understand why Macon always change the place where he lived, he lived between his family, Muriel, and even his ex-wife, Sarah, didn’t he feel tired? In the end of the story, it goes very complex. Macon went on work and got sick, Sarah got a call from Rose and she came to Paris to take care of him, After Macon got healthier, he then thought about why Sarah divorced with him, and then he finally choose Muriel to live with. And he is always not sure whether he love Sarah or Muriel. If I were him, I would choose a place where I can meet neither of those girls, and start the new life myself.

He and his wife, Sarah Leary, fight in the car. Sarah can’t bear Macon’s routines and habits, day after day for not changing. Then she says she wants a divorce.with Macon pull over the car and stop it. The only sound is the drummimg of the rain. Macon’s single life begins. The life seems ordinary to Macon, but it can’t be normal as there’s nothing happened. Life keeps going, you must carry on. He has to write his book. During the travel, his dog Edward needs a place to keep it. All hospital don’t want to take care of it, but Muriel Pritchett, a dog trainer does. There seems some destiny to them. They live together, and Macon has get over the pain of his son’s death. Although Macon still hope to make it up with Sarah, and they has once, but finally he goes back to Muriel.

Reflection:

I don’t like Macon actually. He can’t live with a woman but thinking of another person. Although he went back with Muriel, but it still a pain for Muriel. I don’t like Macon’s personalities as well. He wanted to get back with Sarah, but he didn’t do any action just wait or negative attitude. I like Muriel because she is an outgoing person as I am, and she can really takes good cares of dogs. The whole story is not interesting, but I think there still something that people can learn from, not only the writing skills but the purpose of life

Later, Macon's wife came back to his life, he must make a difficult choice.He had to chose Sarah or Muriel.Finally he chose to live a happy life with Muriel. And get out of the pain of losing son.

Reflection
I think we all know how to cherish after losing. People can not live without love. only love can withstand the pain of grief. Only love can heal grief. There is a saying in the book I was very impressed is Remember, do not take your most precious things to travel,because if you lost you will probably never not to found. I think this sentence have a lot of hidden meaning. After reading this book I found travel only need to bring one original articles on the road, and that is love. But this trip, life is also. I think this book is also to explore the human test. You have broke up with her, but when you meet another person to make your favorite, and she said she wanted you compound. It was really a tough choice questions. When he faced the most difficult times in life, the family will always be his strongest backers. Home is a haven forever. No matter what the sad thing we encountered, home on the right. In summary, this book is really good to see. And let me know many of life's truth.

Summary: The story begins with a couple’s fight. Macon Leary, the main character, was having a quarrel with his wife, Sarah Leary, about some tiny little questions, however, this led to their divorce. Macon was a writer who wrote guidebooks for people, guidebooks are shown to people who travel a lot but wish to have a security as at home, but ironically, Macon didn’t enjoy taking tours much. After divorcing, Macon spent a plenty of time adapting to the life without Sarah. Macon then went on another tour for work but his dog, Edward, needed to be take care of; however, his dog had bitten people several times, so no veterinary hospital wanted to give it a shelter. With no times and no patience, Macon finally found a hospital called Meow-Bow animal hospital where he met Muriel Pritchett who also had an experience of divorce, she helped Macon look after his dog until he came back from work . After that, he decided to move back to his old house where his unmarried sister Rose and two divorced brothers Charles and Porter lived. One day, Macon’s boss, Julian, went there to make sure the schedule of the tourist book was all right and at the same time, Julian seemed to fall in love with Rose, they started dating and finally set the relationship. Seeing Edward getting worse and worse, Macon decided to call Muriel for help, they continued some training progress but the effect seemed not so good. Several days passed, Muriel asked Macon for a dinner gathering at her place, at first, Macon was very waver, but he still made it. From then on, Macon went to Muriel’s place more and more often, at the end he moved to live with her. Muriel also introduced her son, Alexander, to Macon, they were quiet happy and get along well. The brand new lifestyle seemed to be great to Macon, however, his family was not happy about this. After a few weeks, Rose and Julian got married. Accidentally, Macon met Sarah on the wedding, and Sarah gave Macon a call after that. They decided to move together again and start the life they used to have, even Muriel got upset. Macon then flew to Paris for work, Muriel was following him secretly but soon be noticed. In Paris, Macon was sick, he could not finish the trip on his own. Rose then called Sarah to help Macon. Muriel was here too, at the end, Macon followed his heart, chose Muriel to live with. Reflection: After reading this book, I just feel weird about what an indecisive person Macon is, because he is a grown-up but act like a teenager playing love games, but on the other hand, I feel Muriel is braver and more mature, because she quite sure what she wants and gives it a try to chase for it, I think although she used to experience the divorce through marriage, it doesn’t mean she can’t have another chance to pursue love and have things that normal people can have. I think the whole book is not so funny or attractive to me, but it indeed reminds me that don’t do the job or stuff that you don’t like just like Macon writes guide books for people, but he does not like traveling, instead he just like to stay at home and do something regularly, which also result in breaking up with his wife. Also, I think to be sure of what you like is not only good for yourself but also can let others know what your affection is. In the end, I really want to emphasize that this book is totally boring and I hope the next book will be more interesting and more meaningful.

After the separation, Macon met a woman the courage to express their feelings, she soothes his pain, gave him the courage to re-live. A few months later, Macon's wife is also out from grief, she hopes to start over with her husband, but this time Macon heart full of doubts, in the end she should choose once was his love of his wife, or choose from grief rescued exotic female ...Finally he chooses Muriel who helped him out of the pain. In the end he was getting out of the pain of losing his son. Always a methodical man,Macon becomes obsessive when Sarah departs.Preoccupied with conserving energy ,he stops using the close drugers, although he often has to wear dyamp clothes.

Reflection

After reading this book I can’t not think If someday my close relatives disappeared from my life, I will not knowing what to do. As a start to see the actor's son died I was thinking that this is what the tragic story. I don’t want to imagine what will happen. But then I think this book is not as tragic as I think. When People who are important to you disappeared from your life, you will be very anxious., Like Macon. And this time the home is always a safe haven. In fact, the end is another beginning.Although Macon and his wife did not complex,but I think this is the right choice. If I am Macon I will chose Muriel too. Because love should be promptly.  Although this book is not my type of read, Istill read it all. I think relatively book is not suitable for us. We should see some kind of love.

  Macon is as childish as a child.He is nearly 40, but he does't find the correct direction of his life.He is a writer,who wrote guidebook.There are two women,Sarah and Muriel,Sarah even deeply love Macon,though,Macon doesn't make a decision,he is indecisive.But,he doesn't like traveling.So paradoxical.This book is filled with mystery and paradox.But it deeply appeals to me.The circumstances are so splendid.I spent many time finishing it.But I still have not fully expressed oneself.

Macon thought living with Muriel was right but Macon’s family didn't agree with him and told him to move back to his own house. Finally Macon realized that he was still loved Sarah. After one week, Macon went to Paris for job but he met Muriel. She was still loved Macon but he refused her. But finally he went back to lived with Muriel again because he realized she is the one who helped him to find himself.

Reflection:

The book is long and I do not know how I feel, and it is quite boring, too. The book is only a story about one man and two women. In the beginning, Macon and his wife, Sarah are having quarrel because of their son's dead. And I think Macon is a bad man because he couldn't know what he really want and he did not know whether he love Sarah or Muriel. When Sarah divorced with him, he met Muriel and lived with her. They are not couples and he did not know he really love Muriel, but finally he just lived with her. I think Muriel was a really pitiful woman. If I were Macon, I will stay alone and I will not to meet Sarah and Muriel again. Or I will go abroad to travel, that will make me comfortable and reduce my stress.

Macon thought living with Muriel was right but Macon’s family didn't agree with him and told him to move back to his own house. However, Macon realized that he was still loved Sarah so he decided to live with Sarah again.

 Macon went to Paris for job but he did not know that Muriel was following him. One day Macon's back was hurt that he couldn't move, so he asked Rose for helping. Sarah came to Paris to take care of Macon. Macon was happy that Sarah came for him and he could forget Muriel. But finally, he went back to Muriel again.

Reflection:

          After reading this book, my feeling is WTF. Why a man doesn’t know what he wants? What is good for him? And the relationship between Macon Sarah and Muriel confuse me!!! And Macon's brothers and sister are too amazing that they can endure his action.

     I think Macon is a stupid man.He is not sweet to his lover and wife.Though his marriage was in danger, he didn’t show a good willing to get her wife back,he just waited.I can't know what he was thinking.His family members were very weird,too.They were as same as Macon,cold to everything and just follow the rules.Expect his sister, Rose.I thought Sarah was a very good person.Who could forgive a man had another girl outside and let him to find her in the end?If I were her,I wouldn’t forgive him and never came back to him.Macon didn't cherish his wife,either.He hurt two people who loved him so much.The end is bad,too.How could the author can write such a bad ending.I can't understand what he thought about at all.The author can't fulfill my expectation.To sum up,I don't think it is a good book.

SUMMARY：

This novel is described Macon and Sarahs’ story.

Beginning of the story, Macon and Sarah drove on the way home on rainy days thought their death son. Their son was murdered in a burger bar his second night at summer camp. She felt he was not concerned about her so that she decided to divorce him. From them on, they began to Separated and Macon always felt sad. So he decided to move to his family’s house.

One day, Sarah wanted to pick up her thing and told him I want to kill murder because of he broke my family. Another day, Macon must go to England because of his work. So he decided to send his dog to ANIMAL HOSPITAL. But at first no one can accept him because it can bit attendants ever. Finally he find out MEOW-BOW HOSPITAL willing to take care of Edward. He also knew Muriel here. Although Muriel and his family told he must train the dog because it was a little out of control even bit many people, until he also was bitten. He decided to send him to training for Muriel. At the same time in training, he chatted with Muriel about their broken marriage and her son each other. Although they had a quarrel, still lived together to take care of her son.

On Thanksgiving, Macon’s boss went to his home celebrated and told him that he want to marry Rose on Christmas.

One day, Macon in Canada’s hotel picked up the receiver from Sarah. She told she want to move back into their house before for a little while. Despite she knew his house damaged. So he agreed. Later he went to Paris and met Muriel. In there, he found many things change different. They had been arguing. Finally, Sarah came there to take care of him .Because he not only back hurt but also had a cold. In the end, although he felt Sarah was better, he eventually decided to choose Muriel together.

REFLECTION：

When I read the entire novel, at first I feel very confused. Due to I really do not understand a small fraction of the final chapter. But when I realize, I feel Macon is an Elusive man. Because I always thought he would be together with Sarah again. But he doesn’t. I really do not know why Macon not chooses her. I feel they maybe still love each other in their own minds. It is really difficult to understand for me.

At the beginning of the story, I was not like Sarah because I think she's just for her son was dead so wanted to end the marriage. I think she is very selfish only think about their feelings and never thought her husband very sad actually. But when I read half, I changed my mind; I suddenly felt she was right. Because the original Macon is the most selfish, he only cares about himself and his family likes his brothers are selfishness. Although I don’t like Macon, he doesn’t hear family advices insist on their own ideas. I admire her determination and not easily influenced by others even his family to change own position.

Finally I really think Macon is a very strange man, because he does not like to travel himself, but he became a famous writer to write travel books.

However, the embarrass ambience between them, because Sara feel Macon didn’t care about his son dead and she though he is cold man. And she wanted to leave him. This was a raining day and Macon just like a dog in the outside and didn’t know what he can do. Although he faced low tide, he still needs to work. But he must solve the question his dog. It is a full wild nature dog. It always bit people. Sometimes it still attacks Macon. So nobody likes it, only Macon.

For that he had to during it to veterinary Muriel and he went to England. He removed his emotion and thought about his wife. He came back and he went to pick up the dog. He backed his family’s home. His dog bitted his brother too. And everyone tell him to train his dog. He had to please Muriel came and help he. At that time, the love was thriving between them. Macon knows that but he still never give up his wife.

     Because Macon’s mind was so bad, he couldn’t hand over his work. And then, his boss went to know what the matter is. So he comes to Macon’s home. But the amazing thing is happen. He fall in love with Rose who Macon’s sister. Macon and Muriel are along more and longer. They more and more know each other. Like Muriel has a son. One day he go to New York and he was trapped on the build roof. He called home for help. But Charles had bitted by his dog. Finally he calls Muriel.

Macon went to Muriel’s house more and more often and he thought he find the people who realize know hm. But Macon’s family didn’t like her. They like Sarah more. Then Rose married his boss and he met his wife again. And his wife wish came back live again. Muriel was so sad. Macon must choice one between the two women. Finally, he choose Muriel who give his love when he in the low tide.

     Reflection:

I feel Sarah is so excoriate. And Macon is a fool man. I don’t think so what a little matter need divorce. May be he is so sad just you don’t know. And this is a strange family. I don’t know what they think about Macon’s matter. Sarah is so crazy. Why she make anything to be extreme. And finally, cool and came back. Macon is fool and not so considerate. He isn’t to think thing by other corner, only think himself. So he hurt two people who love him.

Reflection:
   I don't like Macon at all because he is nearly forty years old but he doesn't know what direction of  the life is,and choose Sarah,Muriel,Sarah and Muriel,how indecisive he could be.And he doesn't like travel but he writes guidebooks,how irony he could be,i think he is such an idiot person like a three-year-old child.I like Muriel the most,she knows what she really wants and needs,pursuing her love but not afraid of fail and also she knows she should protect his son Alexander and taking good care of him.That's why i like her the most.If i were Macon, i would choose Muriel,because she and me are the opposite,we can help each other and live a good life and i will forget Sarah,just being friend with her.Also,i will try to love my job,i'll not only write the guidebooks for people but also enjoy myself in my travel around the world.Travelling is a good job,why not?The story gives me an advice that people should be more decisive and focus on one thing loving your job as you can.Though the story is not so interesting,its narrations in detail are worth to read,and it involves some philosophy to readers to learn from.

By the time passed, Ethan got more and more crazy and Macon’s sisters and brothers just could not insecure it. Then, Macon decided to call Muriel to train Edward finally. The training process was not so good. Edward was still out of control when Macon trained him. A few days later, Muriel invited Macon to come to her home for dinner. Macon was hesitated but he still went there. During the dinner, Macon said his son’s died and Muriel seemed not to care about it. After that, Macon went to Muriel’s house more and more often. He thought he found who really knew him. Macon met Muriel’s son, Alexander. Alexander was allergic to pizza, fruit, dust, etc. The new life living with Muriel was great. But Macon’s family did not like Muriel. Macon did not care about it.

Later, Julian and Rose got married. On their wedding, Macon met his ex-wife, Sarah. They were shocked. After that, Sarah gave Macon a phone call. She wanted to move back to their home. Macon decided to move back together. Muriel was sad. No soon later, Macon needed to go to Parris to finish his guidebook, The Accidental Tourist. Muriel wanted to go there together because she just could not give up everything about Macon. Macon said no. When Macon was waiting for the plane, he saw Muriel. Even Macon refused her; she decided to go to Parris. In Parris, Macon tried to avoid meeting Muriel. Macon was sick. He could not continue to finish the trip. Rose called Sarah to help Macon. When Macon got healthier, he decided to leave Muriel alone and go back by himself.

     In the beginning, Sarah fought with Macon in the car. She was mad at Macon. When I read that part, I thought Sarah was too crazy. Macon was sad about their son’s died too. Macon did not have much emotion about it. That did not mean that he was a cruel person. If Sarah could not stand out that, why she married Macon? I do not like Macon. I think he was a selfish man. In the whole story, he surrounded two women, Sarah and Muriel. He just could not decide who he wanted to company. When Sarah divorced with him, he met Muriel and lived with her. If Macon did not have any feeling with Muriel, why he moved to her house? Just searched for someone’s company? When Muriel asked his feeling to her, he said nothing. Macon even could not give Muriel a promise. That really hurt Muriel! When his ex-wife called him, he seemed to like to move back to their house. Muriel was not a doll, she had feeling, okay? I also found out that Macon could not listen what other people said. He knew Sarah did not like the way he treated the thing. He didn’t change. His family told him Muriel wasn’t the type of his women. He didn’t change. Muriel pleased him not to go. He didn’t change. He hurt everyone who loved him.
