They were discussing where to go.

“hmm… Do you guys have any idea for any place we can go to?” Jasmine said.

“I have no idea about this.” Joe answered and continued taking a selfie to check if he was perfect enough.

“Well, I have a suggestion. That is, we can go to Sanxia Old Street. I have wanted to visit there for years. But I don’t have so much time because I need to deal with many things.”

“OK! It seems that you were busier than us! Ha! Let’s go!” Jasmine said.

After walking for a while, they finally arrived at the destination. Confucius was so excited about the view he saw in his sight; Church still looked at his English pocket book. As for Joe, after he said “Oh! It’s wonderful”, he picked up his cellphone and took photos again.

  “Hey! Everyone, please listen to  me. We should eat some foods so that we have energy to continue doing our activities on schedule.” Jasmine reminded them.

  “Yeah. That is right.  And I have a question about what kind of goods that store sell. Because there is crowded with people.” Confucius felt a bit confused.

  “This is the store which sell PIG BLOOD CAKE, Taiwanese popular specialty!” Joe said, and he went to stand in line immediately.

  “Oh, I never heard of this snack before! It is so delicious!” Confucius was amazed about it.

“Let me try it.” Joe excited.

 “Hey! Everyone, I find out other store!” Church said.

 “ What's that? Delicious food?” Jasmine expected.

“Yes, you are right. This is a famous food called TOFU PUDDING.” Church answered. 

“Oh! I have heard of this before, but I don’t have any spare time to eat. And it means that I finally can eat it today!" Jasmine was so cheerful.

“Wow! It is so scrumptious that I can't stop eating it.” Confucius said.

“You bet! I feel like that I am in the paradise!” Jasmine said.

“Ha! And, now, I have a question. That is, do you know if Sanxia Old Street has any other famous attraction?” Confucius wondered. 

“Umm... I don't know.” Church said.

“Oh, I know! Matsu Temple!” Jasmine said.

“Yes, it is a really well-known landmark in Sanxia Old Street. I often visit there to pray for my school grades.” Joe said. 

“You bet! Many people are visiting here pray for anything they want. Some come here pray for health; while others for wealth. ”Jasmine said. 

“Oh, thanks for introducing. I have more understanding about it now. And I want to pray for something as well.” Confucius said.

 After praying for what they want, they kept going.

“I hear of aisome is a famous culture in Sanxia, too.” Jasmine said.

“Yes. You can dye some different patterns on clothes by yourself. “Church said.

“It is so amazing! I hope I can make a dress by myself one day.” Jasmine excited. 

They then went into Rae Lan store. And the owner showed how to do it to them.

 “Although process seems to be a bit of difficulty, it must be very fun. And these items are very beautiful.” Church said.

“You've got the point! We must can do it well and have a good time.” Jasmine said.

After making their own dying clothes, they left the store and discussed where to visit next. And in the meantime, Joe's mind flashed back to a wonderful memory, which his first time to go to here with his mother two years ago. 

“Hey, do you guys want to know deeply about Sanxia Old Street? My mother had ever told me that the buildings were built in the Baroque style.” Joe said excited.

 “Wow! Joe, you know it well. Besides, my geography teacher also told me before that the buildings were built with red bricks and that both sides of the street have an arched sidewalk.” Church said. 

“I'm so happy that you still remember what your teacher had taught you.” Confucius said.

When they were chatting with one another, the sky suddenly darkened as the storm approached, and the gale chilled people, who walked on the street, to the bone. At that moment, a monster appeared in front of them. 

“Oh my god, what is it?” Church was horrified by it. 

“I don't know, either. It now becomes more terrible! I have a feeling that we get into a very troublesome situation ” Joe was so worry. 

“Oh, no! What can we do?” Jasmine scared.

“Don't worry, everyone. I have come up with a method to deal with such terrible thing.” Confucius said confidently.

 “How can you do it? It's a hydra-headed and fierce monster!” Church said.

 “Ha! Let me show you guys my magic.” Confucius said. 

Then, Confucius busted out a bunch of incantations, and the monster was nowhere in sight any more. 

“Wow! That's impressive! ” Joe said. 

“Ha. To be honest, it is just a basic skill of teacher license, which I have passed ten years ago. ” Confucius said.

 “You are so modest! We are so lucky to visit here with you, or all of us must be killed by the monster! You have been a lifesaver!” Church said.

“OK, now, the monster was disappearing, we can continue doing our activities.” Jasmine said.

So, they kept looking around in Sanxia Old Street for one hour. Feeling they had already refreshed, they decided to go to the next attraction—Kou Shan.

Confucius was so excited that they were going to climb Kou Shan. So he sang happily on their way.

  “Do you guys hike before?” Confucius wondered.

  “Yes. But I hike few times now. Since I went to junior high school, the academic stress made me tired, and had no adequate time to hike. So, today I was glad to go to Kou Shan with you!” Jasmine said.

  Then, Joe said that “I don’t like to hike! Because it will make me perspire! By the way, I don’t think mountain is a good place to take a selfie. There only have trees, flowers, and insects… Oh! It’s so boring! But I am willing to go there with you this time. And I think it is the last time as well.”

  “I go to hike two to four times a month. Because there is tranquil, which always make me feel peaceful. At such great atmosphere, I can memorize the vocabulary better. I think it is an effective strategy to study. Because of it, I love hike and nature gradually.” Church said.

  “Wow! You three have very different ideas about it. But, thank you for sparing time to go to Kou Shan with me. Or I must feel lonely during this trip.” Confucius said.

After ten minutes later, they finally reached at the destination.

  “I will be the first person arrive the hilltop!” Jasmine said it confidently.

  “Okay, okay. I don’t care whether the first place is going for you or not. I just want to go to the peak and take photos with the Bronze bell, which is famous with many sightseers.” Joe said.

  “And I don’t really care about it, either. Ha! ” Church said.

  “So, it seems that only me and Jasmine join this competition. Jasmine, you are my opponent now! Be careful! Or you will be defeated by me without any precautions.”  Confucius also said it confidently toward Jasmine.

  “OK, let’s go!” Jasmine said.

  “Hey! Guys! Look at those trees! They are the most spectacular ones that I have never seen before! It is the best time for me to photograph!” Joe said.

  “Oh, Church, the smartest boy I meet. Can you tell me who has just said that mountain is boring?” Jasmine laughed loudly.

  “Sorry, this question is too difficult to answer.” Church looked at Joe, and then laughed.

  “I am so excited like Joe do. Because I am in a really good mood that all the landscapes I see here are wonderful.” Confucius said.

  “Yep. And apart from the scenes here, the climbing trails constructed here are so complete and handful for tourists.” Church said.

Besides many lush trees, the four people also met lots of insects and some lovely animals that they did not see before. They were delightful with it. And at this time, they were frightened by the scene, Archie slope, which was in front of them.

“Oh, no! This is the hardest part of climbing Kou Shan.” Jasmine felt so worried that he frowned.

“Yes. I agree with you. Every time when I climb it, I were always huffing and puffing.” Church nodded his head.

  “Really? It sounds terrible! But I want to give it a try! After all, the time I can take a rest is only today.” Confucius said.

  “OK! Let’s go to challenge it!” Church said.

 And then, they passed over it, and arrived at the top of Kou Shan. Now, they were resting at the pavilion and overlooked the view, which many cars below.

  “Oh, how spectacular the view is!” Church said.

  “Yes. And Look over there! There even have some fireflies! They are so sparkling!” Jasmine was so pleased about it.

  “Wow! It is so glamorous! And now, I wanted to say some of my feeling about today’s trip: I can fully understand why so many people recommend others to make trip to Kou Shan first on their list. And thank you for accompanying with me today! I’m really happy, and I think it's the memory that I would remember forever.” Confucius said.

  “You’re welcome! We also have a great time today!” the others said.

  “OK, now, it’s time to go back to real world! Are you ready?” Confucius asked.

  “Yes!” Jasmine, Joe, and Church answered.

  “And I want you to make a promise to me. That is, when you go back, try your best to study! If you can comply with it, I will freeze the time, and take a trip with you again.” Confucius said.

  “OK! We promise you about that.” The three said.

After Confucius said “萬世師表  學不倦 教不厭”, they go back to the real world. The clock on the wall works with the sound “ticktack ticktack…” once again. Jasmine, Joe, and Church seem to be more energetic and study harder than before. And what makes them so different is their secret with Confucius. They will keep this secret in mind, and they would never forget about it.
