Magic Dreamers – from Magic Dreamers’ school
Setting: Magic Dreamers’ school in 2013 ~
Characters: Three Students from Magic Dreamers’ High School (MDHS) and Confucius, the Statue on MDHS campus.
Joe, a boy who is eager for a romantic love likes to selfie on his smartphone listening to music all the time.
Church, a boy who is indecisive and insecure always takes an English pocket book with him.
Jasmine, a girl who is outgoing and boyish likes to fancy and does everything by intuition.
Confucius, the Magic Statue standing inside the inner gate, likes to help dreamers.
Sam，a person who want to be a rich man.
Joe, Church, and
Jasmine are studying in class 520, Magic Dreamers’ school. They have become good friends after working
together on a geography report. During
the ten-minute breaks, they always get together. Sometimes they chat in the classroom or on
the hallway; sometimes they walk around the campus, go to the tuck shop, or
even to the toilet.
One day, after
English class, Jasmine shouted loudly at Joe and Church, “Let’s go!” “Where?” Joe asked without moving his eyes
away from his phone. “Let’s walk around,
shooting the breeze, since there are no more quizzes today.” “O. K. Let’s go, Church.” Church
took his English pocket book, walking behind them.
They passed through
the inner gate to walk around the sports field.
While walking, Jasmine looked up at the sky, fancying that she was
walking in the sky. “Wow, look at that
cloud, looking like a castle. How I wish
I could live in a castle as a princess does!”
Both Joe and Church raised their heads, looking up and wondering where
the castle is! “Did you watch too many
cartoons, or too many Korean TV programs?” Church replied to her while Joe was
shaking his head. “It’s so cold. I’m a little hungry. “I would like to
buy some snacks in the tuck shop,” Joe said.
Jasmine said she would like to take a longer walk. Church hesitated whether he should go with
Joe or Jasmine. Jasmine said, “You two
go first. I’m coming soon.”
After a while,
Jasmine walked through the inner gate, going toward the classroom. Suddenly, she felt like there was somebody
behind, gazing at her. She turned back
quickly. But there was none. “Am I dizzy today? I don’t have any fever
today,” she said, feeling her forehead by her right hand. She walked on. However, she still felt somebody monitoring
her from behind. “What’s wrong with me
today? It is almost time for Chinese
Class. I have to hurry up.” She couldn't wait to tell her friends such
feelings but she had to wait until the Chinese Class ended.
Finally the bell
rang. She ran to Joe and Church to tell
what had happened to her. At first, they
didn’t think there was anybody that got interested in her. “Don’t worry.
Our school is safe. We will
protect you.” Jasmine was still
wondering why she got that feeling, so she decided to walk again on the same
path they walked during last break time.
Church and Joe had no choice but to go with her. Once again, as soon as they went through the
inner gate, going toward the classroom, Jasmine got that feeling again. All of them turned around, but nobody looked
at her. They walked on again. After a moment, Jasmine felt piercing eyes
gazing at her back again. However, Joe
and Church felt nothing at all. “Maybe
you are too tired. You stayed up so late
last night.” the boys said. “But I
stayed up almost every day from Monday to Friday. I didn't have such a feeling before,” Jasmine
answered. While they were talking,
Jasmine faced the statue Confucius. All
of a sudden, she motioned the two boys to turn back. There was a sparkle the Confucius’s
eyes. “Let’s go take a look at it.” When
they got closer to it, the sparkle in the eyes disappeared. All of them rubbed their eyes. The Confucius was still the same –standing
straight, looking forward, making a bow with clasped hands held at breast
level, with a sword clasped by his waist band.
“Illusions!”
Church said. “No,” Jasmine said, “I
want to see what on earth happened to the statue.” “Let’s walk around the statue to explore it.” “萬世師表” “學不厭” “教不倦”, these words inscribed respectively on the
front, right, and left sides of the base are still the same. The dormitory behind Confucius Statue has
nothing different.” Church repeated
the words again, and Joe did so, too.
Joe and Jasmine didn't take seriously.
They thought that Church fantasized beyond description, and then they went away
without else thinking. Few days later, there was a dazzling light in front of
the Confucius, but everyone would ignore the bright. There were also many things about
death of teachers, which were not only unexpected but also couldn't figure out
any reason, what’s more, the things about that were more and more frequent.
However, those who were curious about it were Joe and Jasmine. The next day,
they asked Church about things related to Confucius he should know. But Church
only said that he didn't hear of something like that with a doubtful and
twinkling wink. Then Joe and Jasmine asked him to find out the answer to the
question together, although he was nervous
with his English pocket book taken by opposite direction, he still promised. They dated to figure out the consequence in the afternoon
afterwards. When arriving there, they saw a truck bursting tire suddenly after
Confucius’s eyes set off a sparkle. At that time, they were astonished. “What
happened? ’’Joe said. Instead of hearing of that, he was listening to music. “That
is too frightening. What happened just now isn't indeed pure; it doesn't like
the imagination that we thought previously. ’’Said Jasmine. When they went toward the
tire of the truck, finding out it wasn't eccentric. “It is merely out of gas. ’’Church said
nervously. Joe was shocked by it so that he took Jasmine to the classroom. Then
they left Church alone. Church glanced in all directions. He felt jealous
because of them. “Why do you always regard me as air? ’’Church murmured. As a matter of fact, since
few months ago, Church was angry with the relationship between Joe and Jasmine.
Church has already planned a series of action that he wanted to take a revenge
on them. However, Joe and Jasmine didn't sense everything and even see Church as their
good friend.
A tranquil
morning, Confucius shake by itself, making odd noises, people around the statue
were terrified, especially Joe and Jasmine. They henceforth were deeply
concerned what happened to Confucius. “Do you want to stay at school so that we
can observe Confucius’’ Joe asked Church. “Sorry, I can't do that,
for an essential thing at home. ’’ Said Church. In reality, there was nothing
in his schedule; he was simply scared of something.
Originally, Joe and Jasmine
believed naively that he fails to witness the terrible criminal in person, but
the truth wasn't pure like that Joe and Jasmine thought of.
Joe and Jasmine
chatted with each other looking at Confucius with stars bringing in the sky.
“Church is really a coward. ’’ Jasmine said. “Do
not say this, maybe he really has important things tonight’’ Joe said.
But when the sky was getting brighter, they still didn't find out something
abnormal. On account of relaxed mood, then they fell asleep by accident. They guarded near Confucius day and night,
it occurred nothing. “Hey, wake up！wake up！Quickly！It
is light already.’’ Joe said.
“What？It
is light already.’’ Jasmine said
astonishingly. “Why did I fall asleep？And you? Do
you come up with something else?’’ Jasmine said. “Sorry, I fell asleep as well. ’’ Joe said. “Let
it be！Anyway，there
are nothing happening. ’Jasmine
said. But they still deeply believed that Confucius
have some problem. As soon as
they went into the classroom, they saw Church sleeping alone. They were puzzled
because Church latest for class certainly. They considered that there surely
were something bad happening at his house. “Did anything happen to Confucius
last night? ’’Church asked. “No. What about you? You look terrible. Maybe I can
help you. ’’Jasmine told Church. “I’m OK, thank you.
’’Church then responded. In
fact, all queer phenomenon recently related to Confucius resulted from Church.
To begin with, Church was angry with the assignment teacher hands over every day
so as to temper with Confucius so that he could kill them. And he even wanted
to scare Joe and Jasmine for their intimate relationship. Church didn't expect
they were actually desirous of the key reason of Confucius’s behavior. Church
was worried about Sam，the person he hired in the statue of Confucius was
unable to escape Joe's suspicion and gave the game away. Because the Confucius
shake before on account of the fact that the person hired was dozing off at
that time. That night, he decided to stay there personally just in case his
perfect schedule will be messed. But he saw the close appearance between Joe
and Jasmine, anger in Church's mind broke down, he couldn't hide his
jealousness. He starts preparing for his retaliation.
At that night，Church ran secretly to classroom and started to sleep in the meanwhile, so he
was early in the classroom. One day,
Church asked Joe to play
basketball as before. "OK,
I will probably win this time
“Joe confidently said. When Joe passed by Confucius then he was shot
by the statue. Actually, this was Church's plot. However, it was pretty successful smoothly. But
Church told laid that it probably an incident. “I am shocked by it, too. Maybe he always pays
attention to play mobile phone so he can't notice the dangerous light set from
Confucius. ’’Church said to Jasmine. When Jasmine heard of the news, she fell apart
immediately, she couldn't accept the reality. Since the miserable incident, her
thinking became very extreme and crazy, her behavior turned into disorder.
Jasmine began to close herself in her home, imagining Joe was still along with
her. Church couldn't stand itched thought if Joe died, Jasmine will fall for
him, though, and the fact seemed to fail.
Instead, Jasmine neglected him
much more, even hated him, for death of Joe sprang from him the most possible.
A sunny afternoon, Church went to Jasmine's home. “How are you? Do you want to
take a stroll? Don’t be indulging in bad mood! ’’Church encouraged. “You are a murderer!
Don’t be close to me! Go away! ’’Jasmine shouted and closed the door. Church
went back to dormitory with sorrow. As he was nearby Confucius, suddenly, there was
something inconceivable. “Are you happy now? “A sound sent out by Confucius. In the beginning, he
considered that his partner tease him. “Don’t bother me! ’’He cried. A smoke
covered his eyes abruptly, and then the soul of Confucius appeared in front of
him. He drew back, staring blankly. “Is it your purpose? Now, you lose two
friends, even the person you love doesn't want to see you. ’’Confucius said. “OH
my ..."Church whispered. He found he made a lot of mistakes; he kneeled
down later starting crying. “I am not on purpose. Can you forgive me? “Said
Church. “Are you OK? ’’ Said Confucius. Then Church ran to Jasmine's home, and
thought about maybe he could retrieve something. When arriving, her mother told
that she thanked him for his help. “Why?'
Church doubtfully asked.
“Since you urge my daughter to get over, she starts to go out the door now. ’’Her mother replied.
“As Jasmine comes back, I will tell the truth “He said to himself. He departed
temporarily and went back to school to tell the person he hired that he wants
to finish it. "Tear down all of the gear, you must find a normal job, guy! ’’Church told him
seriously. Although he was a little bit sad and promised.
Another side,
Jasmine had already left for a stream named “Big Leopard”, which is the most
dangerous area in Sanxia. Because there were countless excellent
memories between Joe and Jasmine, she wanted to commit suicide there. After
knowing the bad news, he ran fast to the hospital, but it's too late. He only saw an icy body and could not help
shedding tears. “Sorry！Sorry！I
should not make false charges against you，it
is all my fault，I should…’’ Church cried and was unable to control himself, he blamed himself also. Originally,
he tried to admit what he have done, but all was too late. Later, he wept in
the hospital for a long time, eventually his throat could not send out sounds
in the end. Jasmine's mother hurried to the hospital soon after." why are
you so crazy? My daughter! Come back! Don not you know how sad I will be? You
ended up your lifetime just for Joe!" Jasmine's mom shouted. While her mother saw Church keeping in a bad
mood as well and said "Sorry, it is all my fault!" Then her Mom comfort him," It is not your
mistake!" “Hmm…"In fact, there is a thing about Jasmine that I must tell you
now. ’’Church said. “What?’’ Jasmine’s mother said. “Hmm….nothing special’’ Church
said. Actually, he wanted to confess all things，but he could not do it.
