Magic Dreamers – from Magic Dreamers’ school

Setting: Magic Dreamers’ school in 2013 ~

Characters: Three Students from Magic Dreamers’ High School (MDHS) and Confucius, the Statue on MDHS campus.

Joe, a boy who is eager for a romantic love likes to selfie on his smartphone listening to music all the time.

Church, a boy who is indecisive and insecure always takes an English pocket book with him.

Jasmine, a girl who is outgoing and boyish likes to fancy and does everything by intuition.

Confucious, the Magic Statue standing inside the inner gate, likes to help dreamers.
 

 Eric, the student who turned into a goblin.

 

 

Joe, Church, and Jasmine are studying in class 520, Magic Dreamers’ school. They have become good friends after working together on a geography report. During the ten-minute breaks, they always get together. Sometimes they chat in the classroom or on the hallway; sometimes they walk around the campus, go to the tuck shop, or even to the toilet.

One day, after English class, Jasmine shouted loudly at Joe and Church, “Let’s go!” “Where?” Joe asked without moving his eyes away from his phone. “Let’s walk around, shooting the breeze, since there are no more quizzes today.” “O. K. Let’s go, Church.” Church took his English pocket book, walking behind them.

They passed through the inner gate to walk around the sports field. While walking, Jasmine looked up at the sky, fancying that she was walking in the sky. “Wow, look at that cloud, looking like a castle. How I wish I could live in a castle as a princess does!” Both Joe and Church raised their heads, looking up and wondering where the castle is! “Did you watch too many cartoons, or too many Korean TV programs?” Church replied to her while Joe was shaking his head. “It’s so cold. I’m a little hungry. “I would like to buy some snacks in the tuck shop,” Joe said. Jasmine said she would like to take a longer walk. Church hesitated whether he should go with Joe or Jasmine. Jasmine said, “You two go first. I’m coming soon.”

After a while, Jasmine walked through the inner gate, going toward the classroom. Suddenly, she felt like there was somebody behind, gazing at her. She turned back quickly. But there was none. “Am I dizzy today? I don’t have any fever today,” she said, feeling her forehead by her right hand. She walked on. However, she still felt somebody monitoring her from behind. “What’s wrong with me today? It is almost time for Chinese Class. I have to hurry up.” She couldn't wait to tell her friends such feelings but she had to wait until the Chinese Class ended.

 

Finally the bell rang. She ran to Joe and Church to tell what had happened to her. At first, they didn’t think there was anybody that got interested in her. “Don’t worry. Our school is safe. We will protect you.” Jasmine was still wondering why she got that feeling, so she decided to walk again on the same path they walked during last break time. Church and Joe had no choice but to go with her. Once again, as soon as they went through the inner gate, going toward the classroom, Jasmine got that feeling again. All of them turned around, but nobody looked at her. They walked on again. After a moment, Jasmine felt piercing eyes gazing at her back again. However, Joe and Church felt nothing at all. “Maybe you are too tired. You stayed up so late last night.” the boys said. “But I stayed up almost every day from Monday to Friday. I didn't have such a feeling before,” Jasmine answered. While they were talking, Jasmine faced the statue Confucius. All of a sudden, she motioned the two boys to turn back. There was a sparkle the Confucius’s eyes. “Let’s go take a look at it.” When they got closer to it, the sparkle in the eyes disappeared. All of them rubbed their eyes. The Confucius was still the same –standing straight, looking forward, making a bow with clasped hands held at breast level, with a sword clasped by his waist band. “Illusions!” Church said. “No,”Jasmine said, “I want to see what on earth happened to the statue.” “Let’s walk around the statue to explore it.” “萬世師表” “學不厭” “教不倦”, these words inscribed respectively on the front, right, and left sides of the base are still the same. The dormitory behind Confucius Statue has nothing different.” Church repeated the words again, and Joe did so, too.

 

Three of them saw a pair of wings stretched out. Suddenly, it began shaking. Confucious statue began to shake and cleave. A creature gushed out. The power shot the off. They were lied on the ground and three of them were gazing the sparkling goblin. they recalled there is a rumor spread recently in the Magic Dreamer High School.“Every night, the  Magic Dreamer Building closed is to luck a goblin. It can hang around everywhere in the morning, but it have to stay in  Magic Dreamer Building at night, or it will die and cannot recover forever.” They thought whether the goblin is the goblin in the rumor or not. And it did not go back to  Magic Dreamer Building so it hided into the Confucius statue. And the statue is too small so it gushed out. Three of them asked it together,“who are you? Why do you have wings? Why do you in the Confucius statue? Do you really live on earth? Or you are a alien? Why are you here? Why do you broken the Confucius statue? ”Three of them were scared. They started to said,“we are not hostile. We do not mean to bother you.”Church asked the goblin“Are you the goblin in the rumor spreading in Magic Dreamer ? Why…… ”“stop asking so many questions, I will tell you the whole truth.”The goblin said,“Do you remember 20 years ago there was a student drowned in the stream? The news said the student had died. But in fact, the news was fake. The student did not die. He is me,Eric. I was turned into a goblin because one night I hang around near the boys’s dormitory. I saw the principal was buying the corpses behind the dormitory. And I began to investigate the principal. One night, in the library, I was finding some information about the principal. I found the principal will cope with the just dead corpse’s hairs and eat it. Because he is addictive. At the same time, the janitor was coming to fix the light of the library, and he saw me doing the search. The janitor rushed to the principal office and told him what he saw. The principal said to the janitor,“we make a plan to kill the student.”The next day, they caught me and lied to my parents I skipped the class and went to the stream to play water and get drown. And the principal used his magic wand to turn me into a goblin and cast spell on me so that I won’t let the secret spread. Then I just could stay in a particular place. But around these weeks, maybe the principal’s spell had some mistakes so I could hang around on the campus at night. That was why the rumors appeared in the school.”After telling the truth, the goblin begged them to help and said, “As long as they found the magic wand which belongs to the principal. It could cast the spell on him to save him from being the goblin. However, the magic wand must be hidden in a secret place and the principal must do his best way to protect the magic wand from being stolen.”After hearing the goblin’s confession, three of them were made a circle to discuss. Joe and Jasmine were agree to help the goblin. Only the Church can’t make a decision. He was very hestitation and very scared if he help the goblin he may be will die. Joe told him,“ if we help him may be we will be the most known people in the world, and the handsome guys and pretty girls will make friends with us. Doesn’t it very good? ” Church finally agreed.  And then they promised the goblin they would help him to get the magic wand back. They went to find the principal to tell him that they wanted to clean the principal’s office to offer the service, and the principal was very busy in the morning so they would clean the principal’s office at night. The principal agreed, and told them that they could come to the principal’s office next Thursday. Then they told the goblin and the goblin said that it would wait out of them. The next Thursday, they were all nervous and a little bit scared. But when they thought of that they could save a student from the evil principal, the energy in their body rekindled. At night, they cleaned the principal’s office and they started to rummage the cabinet which seemed to be the place where principal would put the wand while principal went to the bathroom.  Finally Joe found the wand, they were very happy. The principal stepped back into the office. Seeing the principal coming back, Joe yelled ”cockroach!!!!! ” and they calmed down promptly and continued to clean the office. Hearing the yell, the principal didn’t notice their weird behavior and just focused on the cockroach which made him feel scared. The principal asked them to remove the scaring cockroach with the thrilling sounds. Hearing the command, three of them removed the cockroach quickly. After cleaning the principal’s office, it was almost dinner time. In order to thank them for cleaning his office, the principal told them that he would treat them to dinner. Then, the principal went out to buy the dinner. During this period, three of them ran as fast as possible to bring the wand to the goblin. They already tried their best, but when they finally found the goblin and gave the wand to it, the principal had bought the dinner and just came back and saw the goblin and three students. The principal’s facial expression suddenly changed and the dinner in his hand fell down onto the ground. He face turned red and roared at them and rushed toward them. The principal wanted to grab the wand back but three of them gave it to the goblin earlier than the principal’s hand. The goblin was happy and started to cast the spell in itself. The goblin glowed and then it turned into a normal student just like three of them. But the principal still wanted to catch the student; however, the student cast the spell again. But this time was on the principal. The principal was changed into a piece of paper and then the student cut it into tiny pieces. After dealing with the principal, four of them went to find the student’s parents. The student’s parents were surprised and in ecstasy, saw their precious son came back, their anger with the principal was gone completely.
