The Amsterdam Connection chapter5-10

Summary:

Kate was trying to find the killer by himself. No soon later, Elly had big serious news to tell Kate. De Vries’s men picked someone up. They had found Max’s wallet on him. But Kate seemed not to believe it. He went to find the truth continually. Later, he met Balzano and told him his feeling. Balzano gave Kate three days to find the story or leave Amsterdam. When he went back to the hotel, Kate got a message from Bert. Bert told Kate that his friend had seen the criminal. The criminal, Cor Schaap , didn’t kill anyone. He just stole the wallet which belonged to Max. After talking, he met Tom Carson. Kate tried to know more about his life and business. He went back to the hotel, finding a mysterious letter sent to him. That evening, Kate was attacked by someone.  That guy was even stronger than Kate. But Kate still fought back. At the last, the guy got away. Later, he found Ronnie. He asked to Ronnie for some help. To try to prove there was other person killed Max; Kate met de vries, a policeman. But there was a big problem. Kate did not have enough evidences to demonstrate what he thought was right.   

 

Reflection:

It was a long process to Kate. I was not sure why Kate thought Cor Schaap was not the criminal surely. Just by his feeling? Whatever, if the killer was found easily, the story was not interesting at all. I thought everyone wants Kate to put down this murder case, and hope him not to carry on this thing heavily. Max dead. Why did Kate just let it go?

To get more hints, Kate asked many people who had relationship with Max. The more informations he got, more dangerous he was. A man wanted to kidnap him! Luckily, Kate hit the guy seriously, and the guy ran away. That was shocked me. If Kate was taken to somewhere, he must be frightened or killed. And that was another story.

Kate tried to tell the police Cor Schaap was innocent. I thought Kate was too impulsive. He did not know how to convince the police. He had little providence. But why the police didn’t help Kate? Cor Schaap didn’t admit he kill Max so the policemen must do something to solve this case.
