The Amsterdam Connection (chapter 5-8)

Summary

After a few days, Kate met Elly, the Dutch police, at a canteen for some drinks and dinner. Elly told Kate that the other police had found the guy who killed Max, but Kate didn’t believe it. And on one day, Kate met an old man, Bert, in the bar, saying that he had some clues about Max’s death but have to be switched by 400 guilders.  Without thinking , Kate exchanged the money for the clues. The information was that someone had saw a man took Max out of his car and poked his dead body several times at de Piip. However, feeling a sense of distrust, Kate didn’t believe what she have had  heard, she thought that the old man was just saying something unreal but cheating  to cheat on her out of her  money.

Reflection

After reading this paragraph,I was so excited. I think the climax of the story was almost there, but maybe it is down to the next paragraph. I think that if I was Kate, I would also be doubt about what Bert, the old man, said to me. Because he it seemed to be none of his business in the case, but telling he told  that he had some clues, which that seems not make sense to me.
