The Accidental Tourist

Summary:

Macon Leary, a writer who wrote guidebooks for business people, he travel to many places and wrote lots of book although he does not love travel at all. One day, he and his wife-Sarsh, went to a beach, on their way home they had a fierce argue, Sarsh said Macon wasn’t sad about their dead son-Ethan. After the argue, they divorce.

After they separate,Macon live with his sister and bothers, since living with them,his dog-Edward keep making troubles,so Macon went to an animal hospital and met Muriel Pritchett,their relationship became better and better because Edward kept bitting people and they started to train Edward.After thanksgiving, Macon’s boss Julian Edge get married with his sister-Rose,they didn’t live together but Macon and Muriel ,They became better and better that they live together ,Macon take care of her sickness son-Alexander, Muriel even invitehim to her mom,and might get married,but Macon still love his ex-wife,then Sarahcame to Macon saying that she cant live without him and is too late to change. So Macon left Muriel and start living with like before. At a trip to Paris, Muriel came with Macon, now he don’t know what he really want, because of his back hurt, Sarah came to Paris to take care of him, things seem to have an end but after thinking this for a night Macon left Sarah and get together with Muriel.

Reflection:

I think it was the most boring book I have even read, after I finish this book, the only thing I in my mind was: finally! It is such a tragedy! Every thing in this book didn’t attract me at all! Maybe I just can’t figure out what is the interesting thing was.

Although I don’t like it but it is a good book inside the book, every role has its characteristic and let the story not so boring.
