Summary

Macon is a travel journal writer. Macon makes a living writing travel books, primarily for businessman who like Macon, hate to travel. After the tragic loss of a child with his wife, he has been unable to break free from sentimentality, and even thus separated. When Sarah leaves him , Macon reorders his life . He starts wearing nothing but sweat suits. When he hurt his leg, he returned to his childhood home. After the separation, Macon met a woman the courage to express their feelings, she soothes his pain, gave him the courage to re-live. A few months later, Macon's wife is also out from grief, she hopes to start over with her husband, but this time Macon heart full of doubts, in the end she should choose once was his love of his wife, or choose from grief rescued exotic female ...Finally he chooses Muriel who helped him out of the pain. In the end he was getting out of the pain of losing his son. Always a methodical man,Macon becomes obsessive when Sarah departs.Preoccupied with conserving energy ,he stops using the close drugers, although he often has to wear dyamp clothes.

Reflection

After reading this book I can’t not think If someday my close relatives disappeared from my life, I will not knowing what to do. As a start to see the actor's son died I was thinking that this is what the tragic story. I don’t want to imagine what will happen. But then I think this book is not as tragic as I think. When People who are important to you disappeared from your life, you will be very anxious., Like Macon. And this time the home is always a safe haven. In fact, the end is another beginning.Although Macon and his wife did not complex,but I think this is the right choice. If I am Macon I will chose Muriel too. Because love should be promptly.  Although this book is not my type of read, Istill read it all. I think relatively book is not suitable for us. We should see some kind of love.
