The Accidental Tourist

Summary
 Macon  Leary writes guidebooks for people;sarcastically,he hates travel himself.One day he and his wife Sarah  Leary drove to a beach,encountering a heavy rain storm,they had no choices but to stay in the car,then they fight,Sarah doesn't like the way Macon deals with things anymore and she thought that all of Macon's family were not good at social with other people,includingMacon.Unexpectably,she divorced from Macon to end the seventeen-year marriage.
  Macon went on another tour for work but his dog Edward needed to be taken care of,but his dog had been biten people,so no animal hospital wanted it.He then went to another animal hospital,there he met Muriel Pritchett who also had had an  experience of divorce,she helped Macon taking care his dog untile he's back.Macon goes to stay with his unmarried sister Rose and two divorced brothers Charles and Porter.Julian,Macon's boss,goes to their home to takes a look about the work schedule of the tourist book,then Julian falls for Macon's sister Rose.Then Julian tries to win Julian heart,he did it.
Muriel helped Macon to train his dog Edward,and Macon moved to live with Muriel and his son Alexander,he gets along with  Alexander,Macon teaches him everything and they soon become good friends.Muriel thinks that living with Macon is right and she wants marry to him,but Macon can't believe love anymore,he refused her.They went to Rose and Julian's wedding,Macon met Sarah again and Sarah thought she still loves Macon and can't live without him.She moved back to live with Macon again but they fought again.Macon flew to Paris for work but he didn't know Muriel went with him.At Paris,he finally realized that Muriel is the one who helped him to find himself.

Reflection:
   I don't like Macon at all because he is nearly forty years old but he doesn't know what direction of  the life is,and choose Sarah,Muriel,Sarah and Muriel,how indecisive he could be.And he doesn't like travel but he writes guidebooks,how irony he could be,i think he is such an idiot person like a three-year-old child.I like Muriel the most,she knows what she really wants and needs,pursuing her love but not afraid of fail and also she knows she should protect his son Alexander and taking good care of him.That's why i like her the most.If i were Macon, i would choose Muriel,because she and me are the opposite,we can help each other and live a good life and i will forget Sarah,just being friend with her.Also,i will try to love my job,i'll not only write the guidebooks for people but also enjoy myself in my travel around the world.Travelling is a good job,why not?The story gives me an advice that people should be more decisive and focus on one thing loving your job as you can.Though the story is not so interesting,its narrations in detail are worth to read,and it involves some philosophy to readers to learn from.
