The Accidental Tourist

Macon Leary, a man who writes guidebooks for people .He divorce with his wife Sarah not long ago. She argued with many meaningless things with Macon after their son’s death, she thought Macon didn’t care at all. Macon and his son’s crazy dog, Edward, went back to live with his brother and sister after separated with Sarah.

The dog bark and bite people with no reason, but also because of this, Macon know Muriel, an animals trainer, she interested with Edward and said she could train it. At first Macon refused her, but he found he can’t control the dog any more, he finally said yes.

During the train class, they became friend and their relationship also became closer and closer. Macon went to Muriel’s house several times and finally moved to live with her. Although Macon’s family doesn’t like Muriel, Macon does not care about it. However, he found he still love Sarah so he decided to live with Sarah again.

Macon went to Paris since his job, didn’t know Muriel followed him secretly, and Sarah also went there to take care of him when Macon’s back hurt. Macon was happy to see Sarah, but he finally decided to choose Muriel.

Reflection:

     I think this is really a boring book!!!! A man, his crazy dog and his romantic, how can a writer wrote such a bored story? Macon is really a bad guy, indecision and hurt two women who love him, and I wonder why he choose a work he doesn’t like it? I hope I won’t like him, do the work I love it.
