The Accidental Tourist

Summary:

     Macon and Sarah went home back from the vacation. On the way, they had a quarrel, and Sarah wanted a divorce. After Sarah left Macon, Macon started to reorganize his life. But, he didn't sleep well at night, he always thought his son Ethan, who died in a murder. Macon is a writer, writes about accidental tourist. So, he often took a trip. For his trip to England, he left his dog named Edward in MEOW-BOW ANIMAL HOSPITAL. After Macon backed from England, the vet suggested him to let Edward have training lesson. However, Macon didn’t care about it. Unfortunately, Edward turned to be scared, and he made Macon fell off the stairs. Because Macon’s leg fractured, he went back to live with his family. After that, Edward bit him again, so he decided to send Edward to training lesson. Macon got along well with the vet Muriel, and he also moved to lived with her and her sickly son Alexander. Macon’s sister Rose got married with his boss Julian. Until Macon went on the trip to Canada, Sarah called him, asking if she could move back to their house. Macon cast away Muriel and Alexander, went back to live with Sarah. At last, when Macon went to Paris for job, he thought he couldn't live without Muriel.

Reflection:

     At the beginning, this story is hard to read and makes me feel dizzy. I think every role in story were poor, because all of them had bad experience. Although this story is not so interesting, I still learned some attitudes in it. I think Macon is lucky, because he met Muriel, a good woman help him fix his broken heart cause of Ethan’s dead. I also admired Macon’s thought when he divorced with Sarah, he was sad but he reorganized his life. When we failed, don’t feel upset and not to give up, because it’s time to begin our new life. When Macon fell off and broke his leg, he went back to live with his family. Though his family blamed, but they still took care of him, let me think that home is our haven forever. If you are in trouble, don’t forget your family. You can have a talk with them, they can give you comfort, encouraging or some advises. In the end, Macon thought clearly overnight and he decided to choose Muriel. We should calm down and think clearly while things alike, we can choose what you want, maybe it is one of them or find a new way.
